Quintessential Queen of New York Sarah Jessica Parker has just released another perfume which she says that was designed as a ''snapshot of Carrie Bradshaw'.
The fragrance, called SJP NYC (which incidentally mixes notes of strawberry, gardenia and vanilla) is based on the classic image she has in her mind of her Sex and the City alter ego.
The actress said, "That sort of freeze-frame of her walking down any New York City street at an idyllic time of year in a floral-print dress on her way to meet somebody or to do something, or surrounded by her women friends."
Maybe this will tide fans over until the release of Sex and the City 2 in May!
Style queen Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Halston runway way last night at New York Fashion Week.
The 44-year old Sex and the City star wore leather trousers and a disco-inspired gold top (which I will pretend I don't see because she is style royalty. Also because it hurts my eyes.), but what her shoes were the item we fell in love with, just looooook at them!
Carrie BradshawSarah was made the president and chief creative officer of the brand, which is owned by Jimmy Choo mogul Tamera Mellon. She said of her position, "It's not like I had anything to do with it. I'm just happy to be part of this incredible design team."
As if the prospect of the forthcoming Sex & The City film isn't thrilling enough, Marie Claire reports that we could be in for an even bigger treat. Apparently, plans are afoot for a further two movies and what's more, the girls are filming them now!
The logic goes that by filming two more movies now, they bypass the potential logistical nightmare of trying to make the actresses look young enough for their roles if they film in the future. As Sarah Jessica Parker said back in 2006, 'I've told my agent I'm just too old to play the part again.'
Looking at this picture of Sarah Jessica Parker, you'd never guess that she was the newly appointed President and Chief Creative Officer of Halston Heritage.
The actress will own an equity stake in the label - a spin-off of the relaunched Halston brand - joining Hollywood heavyweight Harvey Weinstein and Tamara Mellon of Jimmy Choo. Which begs the question, SJP, what are you doing schlepping about New York in a parka, hoody and Ugg boots?
The Halston brand is all about luxury American sportswear which is less hoodies and tees and more slinky jersey and heels. Get thee to Jimmy Choo and fast!
Is Sarah Jessica Parker doing a Lindsay Lohan? Reports suggest that the Sex & The City star is collaborating with luxury brand Halston and may even take on a creative role at the heritage house. Lindsay Lohan recently undertook a similar role for the French house of Ungaro, although her efforts were universally panned not positively received.
Fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker is already rumoured to have been offered £1 million to appear in the advertising campaign for Halston which will come out around the same time as Sex & The City 2. If the rumours are true, expect to see regular appearance of Parker swathed in acres of jersey, the signature style of Halston.
Here we have it girls, the first glimpse of the new Sex and the City movie trailer...
We'll have to wait until May for the real deal, but here's a few glimpses to whet our appetite, and no doubt there will be plenty more clips coming up in 2010, so keep your eyes peeled...
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick left the kids at home to brave the cold weather in New York this weekend.
The pair, sporting as many layers as they could possibly find, were seen heading to the Lucille Lortel Theater in the West Village and we have to say, despite the practical nature of SJP's snow wear, she's somewhat lacking in the style stakes.
We're loving the ear muffs, but the baggy harem pants into Wellington boots combo is slightly less chic. I suppose the problem with Sarah Jessica is we're always expecting her to pull a Carrie Bradshaw in the style stakes, and when she looks like an ordinary mother of three, we're perpetually disappointed.
Fortunately, we've only got five or so months to go until our next Carrie Bradshaw fix, and until then, we'll just have to dig out our old Sex and the City box sets...
Last time we saw Sarah Jessica Parker, at the premiere of Did You Here About The Morgans? she appeared to be having something of a funny five minutes on the red carpet.
However, she was back to her usual fabulous self in time to appear on the Today show yesterday. Desperately trying to ignore the hordes of screaming fans in the window behind her, we particularly love this embroidered floral frock, which definitely has something of the Carrie Bradshaws about it.
Lets face it, as long as Sarah Jessica follows her alter-ego's style lead, she can't go far wrong...
Sarah Jessica Parker has hit back at reports that she doesn't get on with her Sex and the City co-stars, branding the claims 'offensive.'
In an interview with stylist magazine, SJP said: "We're very tight, despite what people try to say. We've gone through something together that only we can understand. I love these women, nor could I imagine anyone else playing those characters. This year it'll be 12 years since we did the pilot. To speculate that it's not harmonious is, frankly, offensive."
Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant hit London for the premier of their new film 'Did you Hear About the Morgans?' and it's safe to say neither of them are looking as young as they used to.
Hugh's been showing signs of some sizeable jowls for a while now, but being a bloke, he can style it out with the standard black suit, open neck shirt combo.
Ageing on the red carpet is slightly more tricky for women, and a hot pink bandeau mini dress may have been a step too far for the normally demure SJP. Apart from anything else, several wardrobe malfunctions meant she spent most of the evening anxiously tugging up her dress to avoid flashing the assembled photographers.
We hate to be ageist, but there has to be a certain point where you boobs stop making a bid for escape in front of polite company.
