Robert Pattinson was up himself, got punched a lot

robertpattinsonbafta.jpgRobert Pattinson has been talking about how much he enjoyed the violent scenes for his new film Remember Me.

The Twilght actor explained, "It's quite cathartic to just sort of randomly start hitting someone. It was fun kind of, letting all your rage go on the set. We had this big scene where I punch out some guys. It went fine and nobody was really hurt at all."

It seems like Rob was just happy he was the one doing the punching for a change. He revealed, "I got beaten up by a lot of people when I was younger. I was a bit of an idiot, but I always thought the assaults were unprovoked.

He elaborated, "It was after I first started acting and I liked to behave like an actor, or how I thought an actor was supposed to be, and that apparently provoked a lot of people into hitting me."

Robert Pattinson was annoyed by New Moon critics

robertpattinson.jpgRobert Pattinson has spoken about his annoyance at the film critics who gave the second movie in the Twilight Saga, New Moon, a bad review.

The actor and obsession of every girl above the age of 13 with a pulse told Parade magazine that he thought that the hype about the book could have had a negative impact on the films popularity.

Robert said, "I didn't like the way New Moon was treated by the critics. When something is so hyped, inevitably, there is a backlash against it. I think Chris Weitz is an amazing director. I really enjoyed the film. So the naysayers kind of annoyed me."

Of course, no RPatzz interview is complete without talking about his worldwide sex-symbol status and Beatles-style-hysteria inducing persona.

Robert says, "People recognise you and they want to talk to you, or want to see you. My trick is not to see them as a crowd. If you break down every crowd into individuals, then it's more manageable."

"It's just when you start seeing these huge masses of people screaming at you that you start going crazy. So I try to focus on a few faces and not the mass."

Oscars: Mariah Carey in Valentino

mariahcareyoscars10.jpgYou might for a second wonder what Mariah Carey was doing at the Oscars, but remember she was in the Best Film-nominated movie Precious, alongside Mo'Nique and Gabby Sidibe.

Mariah, who starred as a dowdy social worker in the film, looked beautiful on the red carpet in this off-the-shoulder, midnight-blue Valentino gown, which was exquisitely and flatteringly shaped around the bodice and cinched in with a crystal broach.

Accompanied by her husband Nick Cannon (and frankly we are surprised they are still married) the singer accessorised with a cartload of diamonds on her ears, wrists and fingers and nude Louboutin heels and nails.

We aren't really sure about the cut of the slit, but we can overlook it. You're welcome, Mariah.

87% of women would trade their husband for Robert Pattinson

robertpattinsonbafta.jpgIf Kristen Stewart isn't already on her guard, she'd better be now - a study has revealed that a massive 87% of women would replace their husbands for Robert Pattinson if given half a chance.

130,000 women were asked in the poll, and we're pretty sure some, if not most of them, were joking.

Although if some of that 87% are attracted by his bank account, this might wake them up: he's not a big spender;

"I'm not one for comforts and stuff, I think I can kind of do without most things." Rob said.

Robert Pattinson says being stalked fame ruined his songwriting skills

robertpattinsonbafta.jpgDisappointment looms for fans looking for an Edward Cullen album - Robert Pattinson says that becoming famous has completely ruined his songwriting skills.

The Twilight (and Remember Me) actor said "I used to write a lot more music by just doing gigs, just turning up to open-mics and stuff with two lines of the song and then the pressure would force me to make something up on the spot.

"And I can't really do that anymore, which was my main process for writing songs. When I sit down to write some lyrics it just sounds like rubbish."

Fans looking out for a naked photoshoot featuring Rob are also in for disappiontment; "I offered to do a naked photoshoot [for Details magazine]," He told the Today show. "But no-one wanted to see me naked. It started off with me naked and they were like, 'Actually, just forget it'."

They missed out on a bestseller there.

Robert Pattinson appeared on the American talk show the Late Show With Jimmy Fallon and among other things, shot lasers from his eyes, got scared when he thought the audience were shouting the word "squeeze" at him and obviously promoted his new film Remember Me.

Robert Pattinson's next film 'is full of sex'

robertpattinsonbafta.jpgRobert Pattinson has revealed (to the delight of his adoring fans no doubt) that his new movie, Bel Ami, features several sex scenes - including an orgy with 40 women.

The Twilight actor has already branded his character in the film, based on the classic novel by Guy de Maupassant and also featuring Uma Thurman, 'amoral'.

Rob said "[The film] is like the complete antithesis of what you normally think period dramas are about. In Paris, everybody was just going nuts. It was like the 1980s. Sex was kind of a weapon and a tool, and it's odd."

"These scenes will leave nothing to the imagination," a source told The Sun. "It will be the sexiest thing he's ever been seen in and will get his female fans even more excited."

I think I speak for most of the female population when I say; 'Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!'
