Kate Moss MINUS high fashion wear and fiance

katemoss_wet.jpgI don't know about you: but I'm just pleased to see Kate doing something 'relatively' normal - which doesn't involve high fashion parties, A listers and that messy fiance of hers.

Here's Kate and (pleb) Co. on her Californian holiday, taking a ride on the River Adventure water ride inside of Jurassic Park at the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park.

It's fab to see Kate, all crazy bird's nest hair, laughing and WITH her daughter (gasp!), who let's face it, doesn't usually figure highly in Kate's public schedule.

Also good to see that NO-ONE looks stylish in a yellow souwester - but she does look happy!

Hmmm - probably something deep and wise I could say about all of that. Ah well.

'Taxi!' Gisele Bundchen: world's richest supermodel goes shopping

giselebundchen_shopping.jpgWhen it comes to shopping power, Gisele Bundchen makes Coleen McLoughlan look like a retail pygmy.

Here is the world's richest supermodel ($33million - count 'em - earnings last year) in Ibiza picking up a few things from designer boutique Mayurka.

Gisele, normally seen sporting her American quarterback boyfriend on her arm, has opted for utility shopping wear here: dark glasses to hide perfect supermodel bone structure and puffa coat and scarf for the dash between emporiums.

The question is, now that Carla Bruni has outclassed her (cavorting with British Royalty and PMs!!!) should we be expecting a clandestine meeting with Gordon Brown any time soon?

I think we know the answer to that one folks!

Pussycat Dolls: Just keeping you a-breast of nipple slippage...

pcd_nonipple.jpgI'm not sure which is more shocking here - the nipple slippage (click here see it un-edited), or the apparent extreme amount of plastic surgery on display from our Pussycat Doll here as she performs live in Malaysia.

I mean, last time I looked the Bride of Wildenstein didn't have a younger sister did she?

But it looks like I'm not the only one who was shocked: the promoters of the concert were fined 10,000 Ringgits (£1,436) for allowing the female US act to perform "sexually suggestive" routines on stage in Kuala Lumpur.

Nope, I'm still more shocked by the 'fake beauty factor' on display.... think I'll stick to my Age and Defy moisturiser and a Figleaves push up bra. Not sure that makes me destined to be the Pussycat Dolls' newest member somehow*!

* No surprises there then - Ed.

We hate to start a Rumer, but why did Demi Moore leave Ashton Kutcher at home???

demi_tallulah.jpgOK, so this isn't actually Rumer Willis, but the pun was too good to miss!

Rumer's younger sister, Tallulah Belle stepped out with mum Demi Moore last night, off to see the screening of Demi's new film, Flawless.

Y'know, it must be hard being the daughter of the world's (possibly?) most beautiful actress (who, BTW, never seems to age). Add to that that Dad's gene pool didn't exactly hand over the best bits when you were created...

But both gals looked pretty good as they left their New York apartment.

Demi opted for a stunning tiered white coat with jewel belt and cascading hair. Tallulah showed off her (lack of) age - and her pins - in a sweet flippy black dress, cute heels and a foxy fake fur matinee jacket. They make a great mother and daughter pair.

So why did Demi take Tallulah and not Ashton along to her big night? Well, Mr Kutcher is a busy man - fresh from filming Whatever Happened in Vegas with Cameron Diaz and producing his new sit som, Miss Guided, he's now on the set of his new movie, Spread.

But hey, Ashton's loss is Tallulah's gain, right? And anyway, she's bound to be hitting the red carpet just like Mum and big sis Rumer soon enough - so why not get some practise in?

Britney Spears: the re-growth is coming...hooray!

britney_regrowth.jpgSo, I'm loving the close up shot of Britney's new re-growth here, as the beleaguered one leaves a sushi restaurant in Beverly Hills, surrounded by the ubiquitous 'gentlemen of the press'.

Britters, according to industry sources, is set to make a mini-comeback, appearing in a cameo role for the new US TV hit How I met your Mother.

An insider revealed that the most likely role for Britney in that episode is "Abby," a girl who works in Ted's doctor's office. She's described as "sweet and friendly and scattered and a little nerdy".

Britney needs some good news (and a chunk of cash). Reports this morning suggest she has just gone into dispute with KFed's people over the legal bills for her child custody case. She's still desperate to get back her kids, say friends.

Heck, she also needs her hair, her figure and her sense of style back, judging by these pics.

C'mon Britney. Get it together.

We're all rooting for ya!

Victoria Beckham celebrates Brooklyn's birthday, earns serious 'cool mum' points

victoriab_batman.jpgIt was Brooklyn Beckham's 9th birthday yesterday and I have to say, if I was a mom - which I am, come to think of it - I would 'diiiiie' to turn up at my kid's party looking like this!

Number one: Youngest son Cruz is dressed in a PROPER fancy dress outfit, which doesn't look like mum scraped it together out of the back of the wardrobe, at great haste, the night before. And doesn't he look proud, as a result?

Number two: look at Posh!!! The image of cool, gorgeous, fashion perfection. The hair is perfect, with the glasses adding that international celebrity edge. And that dress! I am in love.

Stunning, simple with a twist: a silver and red combat print shift. It even matches the Batman outfit. Genius.

Perfect to attend your 9 year old's birthday bash - if you're one of the world's leading fashionistas that is. Oh, and by the way - Heidi Klum and Eva Longoria turned up for Brooklyn's party too. As you do.

Message to all you slummy moms out there (myself, ahem, included): Must.Try.Harder. ;)

'Look what they've done to my BMW!!!' Lily Allen freaks

lilyallen_bmw.jpgAnd it had been such a lovely evening...

There was Lily Allen, snuggled up to a few of her closest 'meeja' mates in the Groucho Club in Soho last night, oblivious to the fate of her poor car outside.

But as Lily swung out of the club, dressed in a 'sassy new look' (side-swept hair, bright pink lips, gorgeous little dress), she was gobsmacked to discover someone had smashed the windscreen of her new Beamer. Just look at that pout...

More than a little upset, the new chat show host was bundled into a cab, while her mate drove the damaged car home.

Though how she could have driven in those YSL tributes anyway, I have no idea. I hope she had a pair of sensible flats stowed under her seat.

Sarah Jessica Parker: like a real mum, but different!

sjp_school.jpgReal mums look like hell in the morning. After a night of broken sleep, they slump out of bed, pull on the nearest pair of jeans & comfy boots, wrestle their little darling into something that resembles a school uniform, and head for the school gate.

And - look at this - internationally famous, style icon SJP is no different!!! Yes, Sex and the City's style doyenne has opted for UGGs, jeans and a big old woolly hat as she packs her son 'Mini Broderick' (can you think of anything more cute..) off for school.

Thank the lord for that! I was beginning to think being a celebrity solved everything in life.
Hooray for the levelling effect of motherhood!

10 Good Reasons To Hide Your Credit Card Statement From Your Partner

1. You spent more than £20 on a new handbag

Or a new pair of shoes. Or just about any item of clothing that you already possess one of in a perfectly reasonable condition.

2. He'll find out how much his birthday present really cost

Or to be more precise: how little his birthday present really cost. In the January sales. Ten months ago.

3. You've used it to pay for divorce lawyer fees

Or chatline phone calls. Or a really expensive spa treatment. They're all equally hard to explain away.

4. You bought something from QVC

While you were at home alone, drinking a bottle of wine. And you don't even remember making the call.

5. You spent more than £5 on a haircut

Your partner simply will not understand why the short-back-and-sides trim he has at the barber down the road has no female equivalent.

6. You spent £300 on something...

and it wasn't a Wii or an Xbox. In fact: it wasn't anything electrical, digital or mechanical, anything which plays games or music, takes photographs, contains a calendar or browses the Web. That just about covers it.

7. You splashed out on a surprise weekend away...

for yourself. Sorry: for you both. Sorry: for him.

8. You went out for lunch with The Girls

And three hours, three courses and three bottles of rosé later, said: 'Shtickinonmycard'.

9. He thinks you don't have a credit card

I know, incredible. But it might just work.

10. You're a financially independent woman of the Noughties

And he's not your father.

London Fashion Week: Tuesday Round-up

isoosoyoutuesday.jpgWe've just got back from a spectacular show at On|Off Presents, which we'll tell you all about tomorrow!

First we need to get to all the exciting news from yesterday: we caught up with Hadley Freeman to talk to her about her new book 'The Meaning of Sunglasses, A Guide to (Almost) All Things Fashionable'. We're editing the interview as we speak, but to give you a sneak preview we talked about shorts, Nancy Dell'Olio and the fact that Hadley's mum used to be a writer for Sesame street!

After the interview we jumped in a cab with her to the Marios Schwab show at the Topshop New Gen venue, where the silhouette was long and lean. So long and lean that the models had incredible difficulty walking, I've never seen such a slow moving catwalk. The clothes themselves were gorgeous, cut-out dresses revealed jeans and beautiful frothy decayed fabrics gave a feeling of elegance.

We scurried off to the BFC tents for Eley Kishimoto's show entitled 'Bounce Bonnie Bunny Bounce' and as you'd expect from the pair was a jaunty technicolour affair. White tights and matching gauntlets might not catch on but the print dresses and panelled skirts went down a treat.

No sooner had the Ossie Clark show ended than his sons announced they considering filing legal action stating they wanted to "reclaim their father's name to prevent its continued and unauthorised exploitation." We're keen to find out how this story unfolds as the Ossie revival is last in a long line of label relaunches with Biba and Halston among those who have recently been exhumed.

160x0-7-75-1-a0.jpgMeanwhile over on OSOYOU.com, they have been working hard scouring the shows for the best shoes. Click here to see more stunners like these ones and to buy the bargaintastic alternitives.

That's all for now - until tomorrow!
