He's used to designing red carpet worthy jewellery for Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Hudson and Reese Witherspoon with little fanfare, but Hollywood's favourite jeweller, Neil Lane can't keep quiet about his latest project - Britney Spears' engagement ring.
Thought to be worth around $100,000, Neil told People magazine that the ring's "mini crown" tiara-motif was inspired by Jason's nickname for Britney, "princess".
Neil also revealed just how much involvement Jason had in creating the sparkler, even though he was jetting around the world with his new fiance on her recent tour.
"Texts came from all over the world", he told the magazine. "From Abu Dhabi, Mexico and I don't know where else!"
Britney's ring was designed from scratch by Neil in LA, as a three-month joint collaboration between the jeweller and the singer's new fiance, ex-manager, Jason. The eternity band contains 90 small round diamonds, with a four-carat, flawless clarity, colour D (white) Neil Lane diamond sitting on top.
"Jason didn't want an over the top ring with a giant stone", he added.
It may not be Kim Kardashian's 20.5-carat, $2m engagement ring but we think it's absolutely beautiful. Oh and hopefully this marriage will last a bit longer!

She may have been flanked by two rather tasty princes wearing tuxedos, but Kate Middleton has wowed on the red carpet once again in Alexander McQueen.
The Duchess of Cambridge was at the Imperial War Museum last night, along with husband, Prince William and brother-in-law, Prince Harry, to celebrate the 'Night of Heroes' Sun Military Awards.
Kate chose a simple Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen strapless velvet gown with boned bodice and ruffle neckline for the event, accessorising it perfectly with a diamond and ruby necklace, diamond earrings (both wedding gifts), Jimmy Choo shoes and that signature glossy blow-dry.
McQueen creative director, Sarah Burton was recently named Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards. Since designing her lace wedding dress for the Royal Wedding in April, Sarah seems to have been on speed dial to dress the duchess for special events.

If we needed proof that we're not the only ones who head to Zara when we need to look seriously stylish on a budget, Whitney Port has been showing off her latest purchase from the British high street favourite all the way across the pond in LA.
Whitney chose Zara's metallic glitter heeled sandals to dress up her relaxed beige trousers by own label, Whitney Eve and a chunky brown jumper to launch Very.com in America.
Whitney became the face of the brand's limited edition collection, Love Label Luxe in October.
She posed with another sought-after British fashion export, Cat Deeley who looked like she's fully embracing California's laid-back style in a floor-length pink dress and chunky cream cardigan.
Maybe her purchase was inspired by the Zara dress Kate Middleton wore to Gary Barlow's charity concert?

Just last week Katy Perry stepped out with husband, Russell Brand sporting a new bob - and now she's bleached her choppy locks just like best friend, Rihanna.
Proving just how versatile a bob can be, Katy wore her side-parted blonde tresses wavy with a diamond embellished comb in one side for the launch of her new perfume, Meow by Katy Perry in LA.
We think her new hair sets off that pink silk dress with pussy-bow collar perfectly. Super-cute!

Forget last year's J Brand obsession, because New York label Rag & Bone has become this winter's most coveted denim brand.
As the temperature drops stateside, we've spotted some super-stylish celebs keeping warm off-duty in cosy jumpers and Rag & Bone jeans.
Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley and Liv Tyler both opted for a pair of simple black skinnys for a spot of shopping, while Khloe Kardashian added some print to her pins in snakeskin and Gywneth Paltrow ran errands in New York in classic blue. Charlize Theron even dressed up her Rag & Bone jeans for a guest appearance at a film event.
It's not all about the denim though. Miranda Kerr, Sienna Miller, Rachel Bilson and Whitney Port have also been spotted snapping up Rag & Bone knits, shirts, hats and chunky ankle boots to see them through the chilly months.
The good news is the soon-to-be cult brand is also available in the UK. Head to ASOS for their jeans and check out their knits and accessories on My-Wardrobe.com.

We're not sure Taylor Swift could look any more beautiful in this pale blue Reem Acra SS12 gown.
She hit the red carpet at the 2011 Nashville Symphony Ball this weekend to pick up another Harmony Award, and showed us just how to nail spring's ethereal underwater-inspired trend.
Taylor accessorised the strapless sequin and tulle dress with House of Lavande jewellery and Jimmy Choo heels.
The singer seems to have developed a slight obsession with Reem Acra's gorgeous gowns. She wore a gold sequin strapless style to the American Music Awards last month, and even donned one of their wedding dresses for a music video.

Looks like hit Greek designer Mary Katrantzou has another celebrity fan - Dianna Agron.
The Glee actress always wears winning looks on the red carpet, and now she's proved she can make a Katrantzou dress look as good as Alexa Chung, Kiera Knightly, Solange Knowles and Hailee Steinfield have.
Dianna's dress is from the designer's AW11 collection. She made it her own by teaming with black boots and a sweet floral headband.
The actress wore the Katrantzou to Nylon magazine's new issue party. She was celebrating her first Nylon cover for which she wore a neon and lace Christopher Kane dress with polka dot tights. The issue hits the newsstand in January.
Seeing Diana's dress has made us even more excited for February when Mary Katrantzou for Topshop drops!

We've finally tracked down the coat Pippa Middleton recently wore for a quick skate around the ice rink, but unfortunately it isn't high street like sister Kate's dress.
Pippa kept warm on the ice while looking effortlessly chic in this white bubble hem coat by designer duo, Dom & Ruby. The funnel neck jacket is made from mohair and wool and fully lined in satin, hence the hefty £499 price tag.
If you're feeling flush, the coat is currently stocked at Harvey Nichols (although we're not sure it's available online). If not, treat yourself to Pippa's orange Zara jacket for a slightly more reasonable, £80.

When Cheryl Cole turned up to join the American X Factor judging panel way back in May, we have to admit we we were a bit puzzled as to what she was wearing (see picture), and we definitely weren't the only ones as one insider even claimed it cost the singer her place on the panel. But Cheryl is standing by her outfit.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Cheryl said she doesn't "give a s**t if everybody else doesn't like [the purple flares]" because she "loves them".
""I'm not being funny, but everybody else started wearing orange and purple [after]," she told the newspaper. "It's a fact.
"I love those trousers. I don't give a s**t if everybody else didn't like them."
Cheryl was sensationally fired from the American version of the hit British talent show after just two weeks on the judging panel by friend, Simon Cowell. Nicole Scherzinger was drafted in to take her place, reportedly because the American audience had trouble understanding Cheryl's Geordie accent.
It seems Simon and Cheryl have put the whole thing behind them now though. We spotted the pair hanging out in LA recently.
The Girls Aloud singer and L'Oreal model is normally pretty au fait with fashion. So much so that she unveiled her first shoe collection for Stylistpick.com earlier this week.
What do you think? Is Cheryl right to stand by her style statement? Or does it hurt your eyes?

Showing us just how to rock the sixties trend for winter - and not letting Rihanna's blonde bob steal the show,
Pixie Lott stepped out in a
Boutique by Jaeger dress for
Capital Radio's Jingle Bell Ball this week.
We love everything about this long-sleeved shirt dress, especially the Peter Pan collar, contrast trim and super-cute buttons. Pixie proves that navy can be far more interesting than black - and teaming the dress with those chunky ankle boots - and glowing legs - gives the retro trend a much more modern edge.
One thing we would change? Pixie's hair. We reckon a mini beehive would pull the whole thing together nicely.
