While we celebrated the end of the Oscars at Soho House with Grey Goose, would you believe Madonna attended the Vanity Fair Oscar after party with her daughter wearing this?!
How did she persuade Lourdes to pose with her? Because I would have been like, mum, I don't care if you're Madonna, I'm not being seen with you until you put on some trousers.
The singer, all in black, wore a bodysuit underneath a long lace gown, slit to the thigh.
When she turned around, you could see her bum.
If that wasn't bad enough, Madonna added a black fur gilet and some classy fishnet tights to her outfit, because you can never have enough black netting*. She then spent most of her time on the red carpet with her arms crossed because she was so cold.
Horrendous. Agreed?

Well it's been in eventful decade in fashion: come 2000 we waved goodbye to the grungy, stomach baring outfits and platform shoes of the 90's and hoped we'd have a more stylish decade.

Justin Timberlake has been talking about what it was like to work with Madonna, describing her as 'stubborn'.
The hearthrob said, "She's the most stubborn woman in the world. As a woman, she's the highest in stubbornness.
Justin added, "But she's very smart and incredibly cerebral. And I think that's why she's been able to change her style and image so much. Her music pays attention to what people are thinking."

Madonna is apparently spitting feathers about the un-photoshopped pictures from her Dolce & Gabbana campaign.
The Chicago Sun Times reported: "Apparently when Madonna spied those unretouched photos of her from a Dolce & Gabbana ad campaign -- leaked on the Internet -- the superstar went super-crazy with anger."
They added, "As a result there's an intense investigation under way to discover who was responsible for letting the world see the Material Mom looking so haggard."
Oh dear. We would not want to be the person who did that.

Although officially Madonna's name is on the Material Girl collection for Macy's, she has insisted that she did nothing and it was all her daughter Lourdes (or Lola).
"Lola did most of the work," she insisted.
Madonna explained, "I just kind of hung out in the background and went, 'That's nice,' but she pretty much did all of the work. I was just overseeing it."
She continued: "Lola has been so inspiring and it's been so great to watch her focus, her determination. I've achieved many things in my life, but I have to say watching my daughter make her dreams come true and achieve her goals is more exciting than anything I've ever done."

This isn't just any behind-the-scenes video of the Miu Miu campaign shoot - this is a behind-the-scenes video of the Miu Miu campaign shoot shot by Madonna!
Photography team Mert Atlas and Marcus Pigott were busy shooting the campaign when Madonna walked in and took over. As you do.
One of the models, Gina Lapina, recalls, "We were supposed to shoot a video, so Madonna said she wanted to direct it. [They said] she could do it but they weren't going to pay her and she started laughing. She put on her iPod and taught us moves and we shot the video for two hours."

Two weeks after her teen fashion line was launched, Madonna is reportedly being sued by another clothing company which is also called Material Girl!
The company claims that it has been "continually selling similar clothes in similar retail outlets at similar price points under their Material Girl brand since at least 1997, and Madonna and her newfound company do not have the right to trade in the same space under this brand."
People have been talking about this line for months and months - they couldn't have brought this up before?!
Doesn't really matter though does it? It's Madonna's song title!

Yesterday was the launch of Madonna's Material Girl line at American department store Macy's and although Madonna wasn't there, Taylor Momsen was on hand in her capacity as brand ambassador.
Taylor wore an outfit from the range, which shockingly included some trousers. Maybe she's getting ill.
The Gossip Girl actress rock star gave her first customers a free concert as they ran around grabbing slashed leggings, cropped tops, ra-ra skirts, studded jackets, leather and tartan.
