Here was what the picture agency calls a "surprisingly sober" Lily Allen making her way home last night.
And before you go thinking that that's just a sneering little dig at Lily, in Big Pictures' defence, I will say: she had just left a charity bash entitled 'The Grey Goose Vodka Character & Cocktails Fundraiser'. (Subtitle: 'Let's all get drunk for a good cause!')
So, yes, our Lily did rather well not to end up in a stupor when there was free vodka flowing all night. I've been there, and it ain't pretty.
And speaking of pretty (see what I did there?): Lily donned her usual uniform of black, black and more black for last night's party - but livened it all up with a grey leopard print cardi. Which, quite possibly, makes it a snow leopard. Who knows?

Lily Allen has sparked engagement rumours after she was snapped here last night sporting, yes, a ring of some description on the fourth finger of her left hand.
As well as wearing various items of black clothing. And a cute white top.
But back to that ring: because I'm confused. I thought Lily had broken up with Chemical Brothers dude Ed Simons? Are they back together? Did I miss a memo?
Or is this, in fact, not an engagement ring at all, but a normal ring, and Lily happened to wear it on that finger that night?
Sorry, folks. But sometimes the truth really is banal.

Well, she did have two events to go to, you know.
Yes, Lily Allen did the double in London last night - stepping out for both the National Music Awards and the opening of the new Saatchi gallery in Chelsea.
And this was her outfit for the occasion - killer platforms and a black tuxedo-style jacket, skirt and shirt which if one was being kind, one would say was rather Stella McCartney-esque. And if one was being unkind, one would say was rather frumpy.
Still, I'm liking that new choppy bob of hers. So all is not lost.

Maybe. Lily Allen needs to go Stateside to finish her new album, On the Naughty Step, but, she might not find it so easy. According to The People, "She is facing more visa troubles."
Lily finds herself on the American naughty step after being banned from working there last August for hitting a photographer. Oh, dear sweet Lily, try taking a tip from Uncle Tom Cruise. Don't knock 'em down, pick 'em up!
The People reports that a source said: "She is fed up."
Try and cheer up Lily. You can always weather the storms in this delightful autumnal outfit; a grey check pinafore dress and warm and chunky herringbone overcoat. Oh, and magical floating shoes! Who needs any kind of naughty step, or visa, when you can levitate?

Hmm. I think several men's dreams just came true.
Yes, anybody who's anybody - apart from me, of course - has arrived in Paris for Fashion Week. Emma Watson was snapped arriving at the Dior catwalk show yesterday - and joining her on the front row were this little lot: Lily Allen, Dita Von Teese and Katy Perry.
Their outfits of choice? Well, from left to right, it was: a '50s-style gingham dress and the highest platform YSL heels known to man (sadly out of shot); a delicate pastel mini dress and the heaviest eyelid make-up known to man; and a delicate floral strapless dress and the biggest, erm, eyelashes known to man.
And that's the reason why they're celebrities and we're not, folks.

Yes, this season she'll mostly be wearing... black.
Lily Allen was spotted on Sloane Street doing a spot of shoe shopping yesterday - as you do, when you're a celebrity, and the seasons are changing. Well, everyone needs some new footwear for autumn/winter, don't they?
And a whole new wardrobe, of course, now that the weather's turned. And here was Lily in her autumn/winter 08 outfit of the week: a black military-style swing coat, a short black dress, black opaque tights, a black (Chanel?) handbag and a pair of black Christian Louboutin ankle boots.
Oh, and a shopping bag from Cesare Paciotti. Thank goodness they come in black!

She may have looked lovely as she arrived at the GQ Awards in her enormous Dolce & Gabbana frock the other night - but things took a turn for the worse for Lily Allen that evening.
Firstly, she stunned the audience by publicly dissing Elton John - and nobody publicly disses Sir Elton, love - and then she ended up in a blazing row with her brother Alfie Allen and his actress girlfriend Jaime Winstone, after she told the crowd that they were engaged.
"Friends say Winston was left 'fuming'... after smashed Lily welcomed her to the audience as her 'soon-to-be-sister'," reports Metro. "She then denied the engagement to onlookers and kept clear of trashed Lily... Spies said the cold shoulder drove a stake through the family night out."
Whoops. See what happens when you get both 'smashed' and 'trashed'? And she started the evening off so well, too...

Here she was last night arriving at the GQ Awards at the Royal Opera House - well, it is a classy magazine, you know - and completely stealing the show from Liz Hurley, Trinny and Susannah, and, erm, whoever else was there.
Not just because she was looking all grown-up with that hairdo, but because she was attempting a Guinness World Record, of course. Perhaps she was just trying to smuggle in some mates?

Top tip, celebrities: if you want some privacy, give up smoking. Because you can only smoke outdoors these days - and that's where the paparazzi lurk. As Lily Allen realised - yet again - last night.
Yes, here was Lily, and her fag, and Miquita Oliver, and her fag, out in London's Soho area last night. Apparently, they went to the Groucho Club and then to Ronnie Scott's. How terribly cultural. Do you think they really appreciated the six-octave vocal range of visiting Brazilian singer Flora Purim? I'm sure they did.
Either way, Lily did look lovely, in her black Louboutins and mushroom-coloured dress which I just adore and want one of, please. Anyone know where it's from?

Anyway: Lily Allen has written a new post on her MySpace blog about the photographs that appeared over the weekend - defending herself, bless her, for something which really doesn't need any defending.
"It was very hot in London yesterday, and it's no secret I don't like wearing bras - besides, I don't need to: measuring in at 32A it hardly seems necessary," writes Lil (but with typos).
"My boob fell out twice and people on the blogs are saying it was a publicity stunt," she continues. "If I wanted publicity, I'd be accepting invitations not to mention money for turning up to glamorous events. I'm actually trying really hard to be out of the public eye, as I'm really proud of the work I've put into my album and I want people to appreciate the music. Yes, I enjoy attention and praise - that's why I went into this job. But don't accuse me of purposely slipping out of my clothes to get attention and press."
Erm, but Lily: I didn't. And shame on those who did. Now: to that second album...
