Lily Allen might want to rethink her retirement from the music biz after scooping three awards at the Ivor Novello awards yesterday.
The singer won the awards for Best song musically and lyrically, Most performed song for The Fear, and Best songwriter.
Wearing a long Victorian-style dress, Lily cried as she accepted the awards, saying, "Really, truly, from the bottom of my heart, it's the song I'm most proud of."
She added, "This song [The Fear] is so much about feeling lost in a lot of ways. All of a sudden, this has made me feel found".

Lily Allen apparently wants a baby.
The singer (or retired singer) who is dating painter and decorator Sam Cooper, 44 reportedly said she would like to be pregnant within a year.
Lily said on her retirement, "It'll be a minimum of four or five years before I make a record again."
She added, "I know what commitment it takes to release an album. I don't think that mixes well with the idea of settling down and having children, which is ultimately my goal and more of a priority than flying around the world."

It's a good thing Lily Allen has retired from the music business because she's bound to raise a few eyebrows with her latest comments.
The (former) singer has declared that the Brit award she won in February - which she then described as "perfect goodbye" to the industry - 'meant nothing' to her.
Lily said, "I got a Brit Award recently. And that was something four years ago that I would have died for. But when I finally got that award it meant absolutely nothing to me."
She continued, "Because I now know that the Brit Awards is a TV show. Record company executives make deals with a TV channel and the producers about who wins what award in exchange for performance time. So it's just become a non-award, like 'Thank you for this'."
You're welcome Lily.

We reported that Lily Allen had announced her retirement and plans to open up a fashion shop called Lucy in Disguise (and the subsequent reality show that follows it), but it looks like it may already be running into problems.
Apparently Lily and her sister, Sarah Owen, who will co-run the store, have fallen out big time after Sarah spoke to a magazine about Lily's suicide attempt as a teen.
A source said, "The friendship has gone through fits and starts but since Sarah spoke about Lily it has got even worse. There have been other issues over how much press they do together and how high-profile they make the project."
"Lily wants to keep the project low-key rather than turn it into a big celebrity thing but Sarah seems to have other ideas. It's causing big problems."
Uh oh.

The show will follow Lily as she goes from singer to shop owner, and will document the early days of her store, Lucy in Disguise.
"Lily was approached about the TV show and thought it would help promote her new ventures as well as letting people get to know her a bit better," a source told The Sun.

The Brit Awards are tomorrow, and we're getting excited. The great red carpet outfits (Alexa Chung 2009), the bad red carpet outfits (Five words: Geri Halliwell, Union Jack, 1997) the performances, the celebrities making drunk speeches... what's not to love?
Peformances will include Cheryl Cole (who hasn't been having the best week, so let's wish her luck) and Lily Allen who is rumoured to be having her performance set and costumes designed by William Baker - the stylist for Britney's The Circus, and Kylies' X tours. There's been talk of a parachute being involved, so that should be entertaining. Especially if it goes wrong.
