Kylie Minogue looks rather happy with herself and we think we know why. The NME reports that she is way ahead of schedule with her new album which is not due for completion until much later in the year.
Offering producing skills on the album is Stuart Price, who also helped Madonna with her Confessions on a Dance Floor album. Eight songs are rumoured to be in the bag already and early reports suggest we should expect more of the upbeat hits Kylie is famous for.

What is it with male actors and Victoria's Secret models? Kylie's ex, Olivier Martinez has surprised precisely no-one with the news that he spent New Years Eve romancing Brit model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Paris, having met her at a Victoria's Secret fashion show in November.
Rosie has recently split from her rock royalty boyfriend Tyrone Wood, son of Jo and Ronnie. Poor Tyrone, I suppose there's always, er, Ekaterina ...

Kylie hit New York this week, showing that the Little Black Dress is dead, and in it's place, the Little White Dress reigns supreme.
Admittedly, a little white dress is less practical than its counterpart, particularly if you're prone to spillages (don't eat the soup). You've also got to make sure you keep it slim-fitting and knee-length or above (to avoid the wedding-dress effect). Finally, a tan isn't optional.

Looking lovely in a bird print maxi dress and some oddly clompy shoes, Kylie manages to choke back disappointment at the latest blow to her career.
That's right, Louis Walsh said she's 'not that good a singer.'
In a damming criticism of her vocal skills, X Factor boss Louis defended two of this year's contestants John and Edward Grimes' apparent lack of talent when he said, "anything is possible. Look at Bros, Jason Donovan... look at Kylie, they're not great singers. Being a popstar is not just about the voice, it's about the whole thing."
Hopefully Kylie will be able to put this latest dark episode behind her move on...

You see Lady GaGa, that's how its done. Following Lady GaGa's insistence on flying from London to LA in a PVC pencil skirt, matching bustier and fishnet stockings last week, Kylie has obviously decided to give the young pretender a masterclass in flying in style.
True, she also opted for a pencil skirt, but the leather jacket, simple Tee and scarf just made it look so much cooler. She did look a teensy bit like an air hostess (sorry, flight attendant), but a really good first class one at that, which is a vast improvement on GaGa's airborne-dominatrix-meets-Nora-Batty look.

Lady Gaga got a pretty rubbish greeting when she performed at V Festival this weekend. In a desperate response to turning up fifteen minutes late, she professed her love for all things Blightly, telling the crowd, "I always have pie, chips and mushy peas when I am here." If people were still in any doubt of her Anglophile position, she also told RWD magazine that she'd happily shag British institution Take That.
Unfortunately, she didn't confirm industry rumours that like all other women on earth she finds Gary Barlow inexplicably more attractive since the band reformed.

In her off duty jeans and pumps, Kylie might look relaxed but the pop princess could be in for a hectic weekend ahead.
According to reports, the Aussie is taking her Spanish model squeeze Andres Velencoso to meet the folks down under for the first time - never an easy first step.
Still, her parents Carol and Ron must be pretty easygoing;her sister Dannii's British beau Kris Smith has been staying with the family since Christmas.
Hopefully for them, Andres won't get quite so comfy....
