You just can't keep Jessica Simpson down. Dumpings, pooch kidnappings and failing career aside, she's always bouncing back. Here she is putting on a brave face at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York shoe sale for Breast Cancer Research.
It was all in a good cause, but don't assume that Jessica is being totally altruistic. This event was being held by QVC, and check out the professional way in which Jessica is handling the footwear. On top of which, she's sporting a very flash manicure - could a new career on shopping TV be looming for the elder Miss Simpson?

Do you remember when Ashlee Simpson was Jessica Simpson's much plainer younger sister? Nope? Well neither do we.
As she celebrated her 25th birthday with Jess and her fiancé Pete Wentz at the Wet Republic Pool in Las Vegas she looked positively smoking and trilby - and don't forget this is mere months after the birth of her first child.
Jessica's keeping it relatively low key, but she gets kudos for turning up at all after her recent dumping/lost dog trauma. She's even managed a smile - now that's sisterly love.

Ashlee Simpson is beginning to sound like a nightmare little sister. Talking to Redbook magazine, she spills that sister Jessica is getting broodie. "She's always saying, 'Oh I want a baby!" When asked if she got jealous of her big sister's new single status she responded, "I really don't."
Meanwhile, Ashlee, who at 24 is married with a child also started waxing lyrical about the joys of motherhood. "Being a mom's so empowering and incredible. I'm one of those people who believes that life brings things to you at a certain time for a certain reason, and if you just go with it, that's where the best moments come from."
We bet Jessica's about ready to reach for a tub of ice cream to drown her sorrows in after reading that. Or get back together with Nick Lachley.

She's not had much luck with Tony Romo or John Mayer, he's put his relationship with Vanessa Minnillo behind him, so is it really that surprising that Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are rumoured to be back in contact with each other?
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the former husband and wife have been having regular yaps on the phone in recent weeks - obviously with a lot to catch up on since their divorce in 2005.

Jessica Simpson stepped out in New York last night - looking cute in a black jacket and skinny trousers, what looks suspiciously like a Lanvin leopard print bag, and a pair of really crazy Louboutin boots. And I mean: really crazy. Just look. They're mesh!
But back to that headline: because the big news this week - if you're interested in the Jessica Simpson, Tony Romo and Carrie Underwood love triangle, that is - is that Carrie has said that she has no rivalry with her ex's new girlfriend.
"I met her once and she seemed really nice so I don't have a feud with anybody," says Carrie of Jessica. So there you go. End of the story. Erm, isn't it?

Renaissance woman Jessica Simpson (she can sing, she can act and she dates a quarterback) has added yet another string to her creative bow. She's only gone and designed a fragrance.
Fancy Jessica Simpson (that's not a command, it's the name of the fragrance) was launched by Jessica and Daisy (that's her dog) in Dallas on Saturday, but not from Cape Canaveral. Why are perfumes always launched?
Now, I have no objection to taking your pet dog along to a perfume launch - but when the perfume in question was co-created with Dior Parfums vet Alexis Dadier it starts to get a little suspect. Let's assume vet is short for veteran and not veterinarian.
The Dallas Morning News described Jessica's new smell thus: "The notes in the blush pink perfume read like the ingredients of a mouthwatering dessert: pear, apricot nectar, toasted almonds and caramel, plus a flowery dash of gardenia and jasmine". Mmmmm. Smelly. And yummy.

You may have thought that Ashlee Simpson, Jessica Simpson and Poppa Joe Simpson were good ol country-lovin', workin'-class people. But that doesn't stop them making fun of good ol' country-lovin' workin'-class people.
Yes, Ashlee celebrated her 24th birthday on Friday night - and according to People, she "swapped her stylish maternity wardrobe for trailer-park chic" for the party.
"It had a white-trash theme," says a guest who attended the bash Ashlee's parents' home. "Ashlee wore Daisy Dukes and platform flip-flops with a bathing suit and a fake tattoo around her belly... Joe wore a cut-off muscle T-shirt and a mullet wig. It was funny."
Erm, indeed. Although not as funny as her sister's fancy dress outfit, apparently. "Jessica was wearing a crazy leopard-print dress that showed off a lot of cleavage," says the guest.
And that's as opposed to...?

Here was Jessica Simpson having a night on the tiles last night. Actually, no, she wasn't at The Tiles - the latest hippest hotspot in Los Angeles* - but at Madeos restaurant. And that's her assistant who's helping her out, there.
Hmm... the bright orange dress... the wavy, blonde hair with a centre-parting... the slightly disorientated, sozzled deer-in-headlights look... Is it just me, or is Jessica looking very much like Britney Spears here? I mean, old Britney obviously. But Britney nonetheless.

And she did look rather fabulous, it has to be said, in a black shirt dress and brown heels. And with no sign of the wardrobe malfunction that apparently occurred during her performance on Good Morning America this week. Put it this way: that flowery dress of hers didn't stay put. And I think we can safely say that Jessica was wearing a thong. Ahem.

Jessica Simpson took to the outdoor stage on Good Morning America in New York yesterday - wearing a black jacket-thing and a flowery, bold printed dress-thing - but all did not go according to plan. As things often don't, when Jessica performs live. Bless her.
After the band (and her backing singers) started up, Jess began to sing her number one hit With You - but swiftly called the song to a halt after realising that she couldn't hear herself (we could, however).
She then attempted to count the band back in - very badly - and got going again. And suddenly, all was forgotten. Well done, Jess. Why, anyone would think you were a professional performing artist!
