Fresh from helping Stella McCartney switch on her Christmas lights, Gwyneth Paltrow made a surprise appearance at the launch of Dean Street Townhouse with husband Chris Martin.
Gwyneth, proving once again that she doesn't put a fashion foot wrong these days, looked great in a Giles Deacon simple grey silk shift dress. The pair managed to avoid having to talk to the little people, and instead spent the evening with Gordon and Tana Ramsay and Stephen Fry.

Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow are set to star together in a new film as husband and wife!
Nicole will be taking on the role of Einar Wegener a Danish artist who was born a man but went on to live as a woman, becoming the world's first post-op transsexual.
Wegner was married in 1904 to Illustrator Gerta Gottlieb, who will be played by Gwyneth Paltrow. He only discovered his preference for living as a woman when standing in for a female model who was due to pose for one of this wife's paintings.
After the scandal broke out, the couple eventually upped and moved to Paris, where the newly anonymous Wegener adopted the alter-ego Lili Elbe.
They remained married until 1929, when Wegener began to embark upon a series of sex change operations - after which the marriage was automatically annulled.
We can't wait to see what Nicole and Gwyneth pull out of the bag for this one!

Reports were surfacing yesterday that Chris Martin was caught cheating on Gwyneth Paltrow with Kate Bosworth.
According to that bastion of truth Star, the pair were caught kissing in public, with en eyewitness telling the magazine: "I couldn't believe my eyes, there was Chris totally making out with Kate in front of other people. At first I thought it might be Gwyneth, but when she came up for air, it was clear the woman was Kate!"
However, another source says Chris and Gwyneth are "more than fine. She may have been in the same room with him. but he is not having an affair, was not kissing her or holding her hand."
To be fair, even if they were having an affair, we're not convinced they'd be snogging in public for everyone to see - not exactly the first word in stealth is it?

A Burberry collection wouldn't be complete without the trademark mac and the spring/summer 10 collection made no exception to the rules in that department.
The rest of the collection consisted of lots of beautifully delicate looking pastel dresses and draped, twisted skirts in nude colours, toughened up with a utilitarian waist belt.
Textures clearly played a huge part in the collection with a couple of gorgeous fur (we hope they weren't real) coats and metallic dresses and tops that looked like crystals as they sparkled under the lights.
As usual, the show was awash with celebrities with everyone from Emma Watson, Liv Tyler and Gwyneth Paltrow to Victoria Beckham, Mary-Kate Olsen Alexa Chung making an appearance

Ever since Gwyneth Paltrow rediscovered her mojo a couple of years back we've been a little bit in love with her wardrobe.
As she exited furniture makers Established & Sons' party in London the other night she pulled another ace out of the bag in a faded blue mini skirt, logo tee, oversized blazer and seriously fierce ankle boots.
She looks pretty happy too, which always helps. Yay, we love red-carpet label-loving Gwyneth. She's so much more fun than macrobiotic-obsessed yoga-bunny Gwyneth used to be...

Credit crunch, what credit crunch? Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow refuse to let a tiny thing like a recession put a dampener on their plans for the perfect piece of real estate. According to Hollyscoop, the pair are knocking down to London houses to create one huge place.
The couple bought the first house from actress Kate Winslet in 2004 and bought the second house in 2007, but they've finally decided to get cracking with the renovations, which will leave them with a sizeable mansion worth £7 million.
The question remains, exactly how many pianos and fridges full of macrobiotic food can you stash in a 33-bed mansion?

Hold your breakfast, that isn't a euphemism - try not to think about Gwynnie and Chris Martin in that way... The actress actually shows off her cooking skills in a new clip on her riveting website Goop (as if reading about her wasn't enough).
"I think about cooking all the time. It's what I lie in bed thinking about at night... Over the years, it's become a major passion," she explains to viewers before rustling up a roast chicken, potatoes and a salad.
If we had to lie next to the Coldplay singer every night I'm sure out minds would start to wander too. It's just a shame that when the camera stopped rolling Gwynnie had to chuck all the food in the bin.

Gwyneth Paltrow doesn't often spill on her personal life, but she loosened her tongue for long enough to tell us that her life isn't quite the picnic it seems...
"Nothing is as good as it looks," she told to Life and Style magazine. "Life is complicated, and there are always issues to overcome. Like yesterday, [Chris] went to Australia, and I came here - you have to accept that."
We're brutally honest with each other. Even if, God forbid, we weren't together in 10 years or whatever, I think we're like a family," she added, before saying "he's going to kill me!"
If he's going to kill you just for saying that, things really aren't perfect...

Want to know how Gwyneth Paltrow stays so gorgeous and glowing? Apart from the expensive facials, macrobiotic chef and personal trainer, that is?
Well, she's revealed all - about how to stay in shape, that is - and it's actually eminently sensible, and do-able. In her latest email newsletter, Gwynnie shares the advice of her three (count 'em!) doctors.
"Sleep eight hours for two weeks, then start eliminating 'white' foods," Gwyneth quotes her New York cardiologist Dr. Alejandro Junger as saying. "After two weeks of sleeping and eating better, you'll have the energy to exercise. Begin as you like. If you are totally out of shape, start by walking 15 minutes a day and add a minute every day for the first month."
"At the end of a month, you'll be up to 45 minutes a day, which should make you ready for whatever more strenuous form of exercise you want to try," he continues. "Experiment with them all to see what works best for you and stick with it."
In Gwyneth's case: hitting the gym for three hours a day. The rest of us might just want to try the "sleeping" part.

The phone calls going something like:
"Madge - I'm going to a premiere at the London Film Festival tonight. And everyone's telling me that it's fancy dress, and that you have to go dressed as a gorilla... Yes... Apparently it's the sequel to Gorillas In The Mist... Anyway, do you think I should believe them?"
Well, believe them, she did. For here was Gwyneth Paltrow on the red carpet in Leicester Square last night - unfortunately dressed like a gorilla for the premiere of the new romantic drama Two Lovers, and not Gorillas In The Mist II, after all.
Still, I'm rather liking her black draped dress by Salvatore Ferragamo - although not so much her fur shrug by Felder & Felder if it is, indeed, real fur. Whatever would her pal Stella McCartney say?
And as for her other pal Madonna - well, Gwynnie revealed on the red carpet last night that she's just trying to "be there" for her friend during her divorce.
"You know, she's a dear friend, and I'm supporting her in all [the] ways that I can. I'm just here for her," she sighed. And according to Us magazine, that means being "in constant contact with Madonna". "I'm just here on the other end of the phone, really... I speak to her a lot," confirmed Gwyn last night.
Aww. Well, a gorilla in need is a gorilla indeed, eh?
