Cosmopolitan's Ultimate Women Of The Year Awards: The Gallery

Yesterday was Cosmopolitan's Ultimate Women Of The Year Awards and brought a multitude of female stars to the red carpet. Our personal favourite was risk-taker Nicola Roberts, who rightfully took home the Ultimate Fashionista Award while wearing an amazing Bodyamr Spring 2011 dress. Others on the red carpet included Fearne Cotton, T4 presenter Jameela Jamal, Karen Gillan, model Crystal Renn, Alexandra Burke, Kimberley Walsh and Kelly Brook (below) whose aubergine Azzedine Alaia dress we loved.

Check out the gallery by clicking on the image below, and don't forget to tell us who your favourites were.

Nicola Roberts at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards 2010

nicola_roberts_cosmo_awards_2010.jpgNicola Roberts attended the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards 2010 last night and came away with The Fashionista Award - and in this amazing Bodyamr dress there was no doubt that she deserved it!

The Girls Aloud singer and make up designer wore an amazing leopard print emerald green gown with a grey chiffon bottom, and a chain and leapord pattern.

Naturally we were curious as to what she was wearing shoe-wise so OSOYOU asked for a glimpse, and saw these beautiful bronze wing-backed peep toes which we need to have more then anything on earth.

Congratulations on the award, Nicola, so much deserved!

Nadine Coyle wants a cooking show...

nadine_coyle_pink.jpgNadine Coyle has revealed that she would love to have her own cooking show like Nigella Lawson or Sophie Dahl (well maybe not just like Sophie Dahl). Trouble is we're not sure people would enjoy watching stick thin Nadine pretending to eat.

But at least she realises - she said, "I do look at pictures of myself sometimes and think, "Oh my God, I look really skinny."

But, Nadine added, "I do eat, I love Lucky Charms cereal and potatoes, and I'd love, love, love to do a cookery show."

Earlier this year, Nadine insisted: "I am 100 per cent fit and healthy and I am the right weight for my type of body. I am totally happy with my weight. I'm just doing a lot of running with my trainer back home in LA."

"When I get back to Derry I always enjoy a good fry-up that my mum makes. That's my big weakness. I also eat too much chocolate as well. If I'm honest I'm not a particularly healthy eater."

Nadine Coyle 'not in competition' with Cheryl, that's what she thinks

nadine_coyle_pink.jpgNadine Coyle has been talking again about the media trying to create tension within Girls Aloud, saying that her bandmates have always supported each other. Can we all note that Nadine is speaking in past tense?

She said, "It's not a competition. The press likes to create cat fights with girl bands. I'm not that vicious or wayward. There was real camaraderie in Girls Aloud, the feeling of one for all, and all for one."

She continued: "Me and Cheryl always had each other's backs, because she's quite a strong character and so am I, so if ever there was anything really serious going on we would be watching out for everybody. She works really, really hard. She went straight from Girls Aloud to X-Factor to her solo stuff. I would have been exhausted doing what she did. I was exhausted just watching her."

Cheryl Cole and Rihanna to duet

cheryl_cole_red_hair_tattoo_x_factor_performing.jpgCheryl Cole has revealed that she'll be doing a duet with Rihanna!

The Girls Aloud singer apparently confirmed the rumour to MTV, saying, "I couldn't believe it when I heard Rihanna wanted to work with me. When I found out she wanted to collaborate, I got goose bumps all over."

Cheryl added, "We're definitely doing something together next year. I'm totally up for it."

Rihanna prevoiusly expressed her desire to work with Cheryl, saying she was "the most beautiful woman I have ever seen".

We can't wait - that's going to be one hot video!

Nadine Coyle tweets on 'twisted media reports'

nadine_coyle_pink.jpgNadine Coyle has apparently felt obliged to speak out about the 'twisted media reports' that are currently concering her and her bandmates.

The singer wrote, "It is scary how people take twisted media reports as truth. I have no interest in speaking badly of anyone!"

She added: "Have not, will not."

It's not clear whether she is referring to reports of unrest between her and her Girls Aloud bandmates, or the story that she said she wouldn't appear on The X-Factor or Strictly Come Dancing because you can't sing live.

Nadine Coyle doesn't need Girls Aloud, has loads of friends

nadine-blog.jpgWe're starting to think Nadine Coyle won't be back to Girls Aloud, because she really doesn't care what she says about her bandmates. No damage control going on there!

In a new interview, the singer says that she is not close to any of the band.

Nadine said, "We've known each other since we were 16 and everybody moves on. It's like when you go on holiday with someone and say, 'Let's be friends forever!' It doesn't work out like that. It's just one of those things."

"I don't speak to the girls, not regularly. But that doesn't mean there's a problem on my part - there are loads of people that I don't speak to regularly."

Nadine adds that she's got loads of friends - "Me and the girls always work together really well. But don't worry because as far as friendships go, I've got loads and loads of friends. I'm really not struggling in that area" - and anyway, she texted Cheryl and she didn't reply!

"I texted her when she had her single out, and I bought the album, but no, I haven't heard from her in quite some time. It's probably because she's busy and doing whatever."

Yes... like getting a divorce and almost dying.

A Girls Aloud reunion! Almost.

cheryl_cole_sarah_harding_kimberley_walsh_nicola_roberts.jpgGirls Aloud enjoyed a reunion at The X-Factor yesterday, with Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts in attendance to support bandmate Cheryl Cole who performed her new single Promise This on the show.

The group's PR tweeted this lovely, heartwarming photo of the girls backstage.

And Nadine Coyle was conspicuous as usual only by her absense...

Cheryl Cole: 'Girls Aloud aren't splitting'

cheryl_cole_nicola_roberts_kimberley_walsh.jpgCheryl Cole has addressed all the Girls Aloud Splitting!! rumours, saying that they definitely aren't breaking up and they have already signed a three-album deal.

She said, "We have a three-album deal with the record label - we signed it before we took a break."

Cheryl added, "I actually think this break is really important for us as people. Forget artists and whatever, we're doing it as that, just for us as women. We've been together since I was 19, I remember Nicola's 17th birthday when we'd just got together."

"We're all young women now and we were living and breathing each other. It was intense and it's been nice to learn about yourself as I felt we'd just morphed into one person. We needed this space to grow."

Sarah Harding was almost in X-Men

sarah-harding-empire-awards.jpgIt looks like Sarah Harding is still trying for that acting career - she's revealed that she got three call backs for the role of Emma Frost in X-Men, which she ultimately lost to Mad Men star January Jones.

Sarah said, "I got called back three times for X-Men but I missed out on the part to January Jones, which was fine - she's a more established actress - but I was pleased to have got that far down the line."

Sarah also said that she'd been getting lots of scripts and offers - but she's holding out for something good.

She said, "I'm getting quite a few offers but I'm being quite picky. I thought Uma Thurman was great in Kill Bill - I'd love a kick ass role!"
