Emma Watson 'had far too much freedom'

In an interview with Marie Claire Emma Watson has revealed that she never had the teenage urge to rebel against anything because she always had too much freedom.

Emma said, "I do things in my own way, but I've never felt any need to rebel."

"To be honest, I've always had far too much freedom. I had a job when I was 10. I started living on my own when I was 17 or 18. I've earned my own money; I've travelled the world. What would I rebel against?"

She continued: "I've had so much freedom, sometimes it was hard. My parents wanted to protect me, but they had no idea how to. I had to learn as I went and make my own mistakes."

Emma Watson had breakdown at Brown

emma_watson_vogue_cover_money.jpgEmma Watson has revealed that when she first arrived at Brown university she had a mini breakdown when a group of boys asked for her autograph.

Emma told Vogue, "In the end I had a breakdown. Not a hissy fit, more like uncontrollable crying. Everyone looked at me horrified, like, 'Oh my God! What's wrong with her?' I just said, 'I'm really sorry, but I'm here to study and I just want to be a student. Would it be okay if I don't sign, because you'll be seeing me around all the time anyway?'"

However, Emma also explained her surprise that none of her peers have posted pictures of her on the internet.

She said, "One morning I was walking down the corridor from the bathroom in just a towel and I thought I must be mad, anyone could take a picture up my towel and put it on Twitter."

She added, "But no-one did. Not even when I had my birthday party - 100 people came and not one put a picture on Facebook."

Emma Watson lands a British Vogue cover

emma_watson_vogue_cover_money.jpgHarry Potter star Emma Watson has landed a British Vogue cover and in the interview talks about how overwhelmed she was when she found out how much money she'd earnt from the movies (a lot).

Emma told Vogue that her dad sat her down to have a "money conversation" when she was 18. She explained, "By the third or fourth film, the money was starting to get serious. I had no idea. I felt sick, very emotional."

Apparently, she was so overwhelmed by her fortune she enrolled on a course at bank Coutts to learn how to manage her money. How sensible!

Emma also talked about her much debated hairstyle, saying, "For the nine years I was on Harry Potter I was contractually obliged not to cut my hair, not to tan. All the normal things girls do, I couldn't. So when I got the chance to change my appearance this is what I did."

Emma Watson on how she stayed grounded

emma-watson-daniel-radcliffe-bonnie-wright-nma.jpgEmma Watson has spoken about how she's managed to stay sane and grounded when so many child stars go mental, saying she has the cast and crew of Harry Potter to thank.

The actress said, "Harry Potter was entirely filmed in a studio in the middle of nowhere, in the most stinky, leaky, falling-apart shed you can ever imagine, and I went to that place every day for ten years."

"Yes, I made these extremely famous movies, but everything was inside a bubble, with the same people. Everything was really contained. The crew became my family," Emma said. "I wasn't involved with all the Hollywood stuff, that would've made me feel really disturbed and lost. No-one ever treated me as if I was different from anyone, nobody treated us as stars."

Daniel Radcliffe on impersonating co-stars

harrypotter.jpgDaniel Radcliffe has revealed how strange it was to impersonate his co-stars for a scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows where several other characters transformed into Harry.

Daniel said, "Oh, it was bizarre; some were easier than others to kind of impersonate. But you know, Rupert was very difficult, because Rupert's got a - you know, his walk - you wouldn't expect that about Rupert."

He added, probably to Rupert Grint's dismay, "When you actually analyse it, Rupert's got a real wiggle in the hips when he walks. That was slightly unexpected. He was one of the slightly tricky ones."

Daniel also had to 'be' Emma Watson and Clemence Posey, who plays Fleur Delacour.

He said, "The girls were very, very funny. I think the crew were slightly worried that I was walking around a little too confidently in those heels of Fleur's."

Emma Watson talks about kissing Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint

harrypotter1.jpgEmma Watson has revealed how hard it was for her to get into character and stop feeling awkward about kissing Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe when filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

She said, "Getting into character to kiss Dan and Rupert was tough also. Forgetting all of our history, and our relationship."

Emma explained, "Putting all that aside and being in character was pretty bloody hard, it really was. That required a huge amount of professionalism. I really had to grit my teeth and be like: 'I am Hermione, this is Harry - stop thinking that it's Emma kissing Dan. It's not. It's all good'.''

"Be yourself" says Emma Watson

harrypotter1.jpgEmma Watson has advised her fans to be themselves if they want to be happy.

The Harry Potter star said, "I think you should be yourself because otherwise, you'll be on the wrong path and the results are not gonna be pretty."

"Be yourself, be honest. Don't take it too seriously, that's been one of my biggest mistakes. You're young, just have fun!"

Emma Watson 'needs to have more fun'

emma_watson_people_tree_AW.jpgEmma Watson has revealed that she thinks she needs to let go and have more fun, because she is "addicted to work".

The Harry Potter actress told Seventeen,, "I need to have more fun, like anyone my age! I'm always working, I'm addicted to work. My head needs to rest. I don't have an ordinary day because I'm trapped between two different lives.

Emma explained, "One day I'm filming, the next I'm off to college, the next day I'm home, then I'm designing clothes. There are no typical days for me."

But, it seems she's still happy with her choices!

She said, "Education is very important to me, I like to learn. I wanted to have a normal experience and a life outside of the entertainment industry."

Daniel Radcliffe on Emma Watson and Rupert Grint

harrypotter.jpgDaniel Radcliffe, AKA Harry Potter, has been talking about his relationship with his Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows co-stars, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

The actor talked about the unique bond they have because of their shared experience as being the three most famous children in the world (our words, not his). Daniel said, "We've got other friends as well, I think it's important to say. We don't just hang around with each other all the time.

He continued, "But yeah, we get on very, very well and we also have the knowledge that no matter what happens in the rest of our lives, no-one will have had this particular experience other than the three of us. And I think that is something that will never, never leave us."

Dan also talked about how Emma's enrollment at Brown Universityhad affected the shoot, saying, "I mean it's great. It's been very odd on this film in a way because Emma's not been here for the past bit because she's been studying. So it's been slightly disrupted on this film, so it's been peculiar."
