Christina Aguilera's music career isn't going too well right now, but maybe her new movie, Burlesque, will do better?
It follows Alice (played by Christina) who gets a job as a waitress in a burlesque club, but dreams of being on stage (of course) she then captivates Cher (yes, Cher) with her singing and, what do you know, becomes a star.

Well Christina Aguilera's back!
The singer has released the video for her new single 'You Lost Me', and let's just say we wish she'd released this instead of Not Myself Tonight. It's a big, vintage-Christina ballad.
Even Pink, who is famously not her biggest fan, likes it: she tweeted, "I just listened to Christina Aguilera's new song, "you lost me" and i have to say. damn that girl can sing. i love this song."

Christina Aguilera has been talking about her son Max now he's reached his second birthday - and whether she's been subjected to the infamous 'Terrible Two' behaviour.
The singer said, "No child is terrible. When you're at that age you're just learning how to express yourself and balance all these emotions and feelings."
Christina added, "I'm definitely an understanding mom... but discipline is a big thing for me too. I'm not raising no brat!"
Although her Bionic tour was cancelled, Christina has revealed that she'll be taking Max with her.
"I've got my mommy concerns, you know, bedtime and schedules and time differences," she admits. "It's going to be a little crazy and a little cranky at times I'm sure, but I'm not the first person to do it and I won't be the last. We'll find our comfort zone with it."

Christina Aguilera has declared that her risque costumes of late aren't for the benefit of men - it's for herself!
The singer, 29, told Company, "I feel sexuality to be very empowering. I think men love to believe that they own our sexuality, so if a woman represents herself in a sexual way, people think, 'Oh it must be for a man.'"
Christina continued, "But men don't have the right to own our sexuality. If I want to be sexual, it's for my own appreciation and enjoyment! That's why I like to talk about the fact that sometimes I am attracted to women. I appreciate their femininity and beauty."
Although maybe we shouldn't be calling her a feminist - Christina says she doesn't like to get into labels. She's simply fighting "for women's rights in the sense that we shouldn't be ashamed of ourselves or our bodies."

Christina Aguilera has been bragging disclosed during a off-air radio interview that she once helped Robert Pattinson escape from the paparazzi.
According to an insider at the station, Christina revealed that she was in the driveway of her Beverly Hills home when she heard someone at her security gate and found a desperate Robert trying to escape from the paps.
Apparently he asked if he could come in and hide out for a few hours and when he left, the pop star allegedly went out first and drew the paparazzi away!
How nice of her!

Christina Aguilera has admitted being influenced by someone for her Not Myself Tonight video - and it's not Lady Gaga - it's Madonna.
The singer said, "One of my favorite videos ever is 'Express Yourself' by Madonna which came across as really strong and empowering which I always try to incorporate through my expression of sexuality."
Christina explained, "I love the direct reference I made to Madonna with the eye glass moment and the smoke and stairs. I was paying tribute to a very strong woman who has paved the way before."

Christina Aguilera has cancelled her (formerly) upcoming tour this summer because she 'needed more time to rehearse'.
Unfortunately due to the poor sales of her new single and general bad reception of her dodgy video (that's a technical term) people are thinking that the real reason is that her people are scared of bad ticket sales.
A spokesperson for the singer said, "Christina Aguilera's summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, Burlesque, and to the promotion of her new album, Bionic."

It got us thinking about all the other celebrities who have posed in their birthday suits - whether for 'art' - think Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley on the cover of Vanity Fair (a fun fact for you: Rachel McAdams was supposed to be part of the shoot, until she discovered it was nude when she arrived on set, and opted out), or just purely to sell magazines- Megan Fox naked behind a sheet anyone?

British X-Factor winner and now global star Leona Lewis is said to be joining Christina Aguilera's upcoming "Bionic" tour.
Christina will be embarking on the 20-date North American outing in July and Leona will also appear on the dates.
Not bad for a former reality show contestant.
We hope the tour ticket sales go better then Christina's single is doing right now - 'Not Myself Tonight' is currently in the 40s on the US Billboard chart.
