According to a source, "Gwyneth has had ups and downs in her marriage and Cheryl can relate to that so she's offered lots of advice to her."
I'm sorry, Cheryl seems nice and all, but would you take marriage advice from her? No.
The source added, "Cheryl's been worrying that her US career won't take off so Gwyneth's been putting her in touch with the right people."
If Simon Cowell can't make her work, I doubt Gwyneth will be much help. Although she does know Jay Z.
If we've all had enough of the consistant and annoying Cheryl Cole X-Factor rumours, you can bet she has too - especially since most of them make her out to be a desperate mess.
For example, the latest rumours have Cheryl "crying herself to sleep" because she hasn't got the X-Factor job and talking to her cheating ex-husband again because he is the only one who 'understands' her.
Please, she's not 13.
A 'source' said, "Cheryl, who's been crying herself to sleep, told Joan if she couldn't get there she'd be forced to call Ashley. What her mum doesn't realise is she's already in constant touch with her ex-husband as he's really the only one who seems to understand what she's going through."
Cheryl has also apparently "turned to comfort food, bingeing on chips, delivery pizza and KFC" and feels like the "world's against her".
She's probably sitting in her room listening to Evanescence right now.

So perfect, in fact, we suspect she might have enlisted help in the support underwear department.
After months and months of hearing that she's got the US X-Factor deal, and then that she hasn't, and so on (and on and on), it's been confirmed that Cheryl Cole does not have the job.
To make it up to her though, Simon has nicely upped her pay to $2.77million a year - a $1.38million rise.
A source said, "Cheryl is thrilled about the new deal. She thought her days on the UK X Factor were behind her but the money is too good to refuse."
They explained, "This is Simon's way of making it up to Cheryl for not landing her the US X Factor gig. He's handing her a $2.77million dream pay day.
"She was convinced Simon had pulled all the strings to get her on the judging panel but it's been a disaster. Now Cheryl will make twice the money she was on last year," they added.

Mary told The Sun, "Matt has heard from Dannii [Minogue], I'm sure the boys have been in touch with Simon [Cowell], but I know Cheryl hasn't been in touch with any of the girls."
Apparently this also includes Cheryl's favourite Cher Lloyd! And we thought they were best buds. Speaking of Cher, Mary insisted that the teeanger has grown up from the apparently bratty, tantrum-throwing girl we read about last year.
She said, "Cher's a completely different girl - she's looking after herself now. She's calmed down an awful lot. She still has her moments, but she's a young kid. She wants to reach for the stars, she wants it all."
Did you catch the BRIT awards last night? Performances from Adele, Rihanna, Plan B, Take That, the list goes on. Of course, they were all amazing, but what we really took notice of was the fashion.
Rihanna stole the show in our opinion with her Christian Dior Haute Couture gown, but there were some good efforts from Alesha Dixon and Fearne Cotton too. Cheryl Cole, we weren't that impressed with actually.

Kimberley Walsh has been sticking up for her Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl Cole always being picked on by the press when she's had such a hard year.
She has a point.
Kimberley told Now, "You feel like saying, 'You know what, you have been through enough, let me take this blow instead of you', but you can't. But Cheryl takes everything on the chin."
She added: "In this country, if you are successful, they can't wait to knock you down. I wish we could champion people who are successful. It's cruel and inhumane to pick on someone who has gone through the things Cheryl has been through in the last year."

The 'friend' told News of the World, "He has been getting some positive signals from Cheryl and has been responding to them. He called her from the training ground and she told him she was going and he wanted tickets."
They added, "He said he'd be discreet and make sure they weren't pictured together - and then they could meet somewhere private afterwards. They talked for 10 minutes. It was obvious from his reaction she was unsure - but only because she was worried they'd be pictured. She wasn't against the idea of meeting."
Cheryl Cole was probably the biggest star to attend yesterday's National Television Awards, and she didn't choose to wear a ballgown (why are all soap stars always so badly dressed anyway?).
Cheryl wore a black Versace dress with a strappy back and button detail on the straps, which was also worn by Mad Men hottie January Jones in November to the Central Saint Martins 20:20 Fashion Fund launch party.
