We haven't heard from Miley Cyrus in a while, but she's back again, and she's still annoyed that people think she is a child - she is 18 years-old now, god, she can wear Agent Provocateur underwear on stage if she wants to, OK?
"People see me as this perfect Disney star, and the moment I put out a record that says, 'I'm not 11 years old anymore,' people look down on me," she told actual rock star Joan Jett in an interview for V Magazine.
Miley added, "That's why I have always looked up [to] you. When you came out people were shocked that there was a chick that wanted to rock as hard as the guys."
People aren't shocked that you want to 'rock out' Miley. People are shocked you posed for a magazine naked under a sheet at like 13, poll-danced at a kids awards show, and generally are a bit trashy.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were love's young dream last summer but devastatingly split up after just a few months together.
But it looks like the couple, who met during the filming of hit movie The Last Song, have decided to give it another try!
Miley and Liam were seen kissing and holding hands this weekend in Sherman Oaks in LA, which is pretty definite evidence if you ask us.
Plus there's the tweet that Miley sent from her brand new twitter (oh yeah, she's rejoined. Even though she said "Twitter should just be banned from this universe".) congratulating Liam on his newest role.
She said, "I can say the best news ever now! Dang word travels fast! Liam booked the role of Gale in Hunger Games! I gotta go read all the books now!"

Miley Cyrus also attended the Teen Choice Awards yesterday, and unlike Taylor Momsen looked like she was actually supposed to be there.
The singer wore a summery orange floral print maxi dress for the show, which she paired with loose wavy hair and multiple rings and necklaces.

Miley Cyrus has been off the radar for a while (shame because we like writing about her) but she's back today, and she's again professing her right to be imperfect.
She told The Daily Telegraph, "I mess up - there you go! But if you live your life trying to be perfect, you don't really live your life ever, because you don't really make any mistakes and at the end of your life you won't be very smart or wise."
Wow Miley, how deep.
The singer explained that while she might do naughty things like polldancing at the Teen Choice Awards and smoking salvia, she doesn't lip sync, and that's what matters.
Miley said, "I don't lip-sync. I would rather someone say I sound like crap, than have people see me lip-sync."
She added, "I want to show people who I really am, more than just what they see on TV. It's all about the music."

Miley Cyrus presented Saturday Night Live at the weekend and sang a song as part of her opening monologue. The song addressed all the scandals she's had over the past few years, with lyrics including "Annie Leibovitz tried to get me nude" and drew attention to Lindsay Lohan's problems, singing "I never stole a necklace or got a D.U.I.".

In a new attempt to be taken seriously as an edgy and grown up singer, Miley Cyrus has taken up smoking.
She was 'caught' by paparazzi with a cigarette while driving around after getting a new tattoo (she's edgy remember). This wouldn't be news as such, if she hadn't written in her autobiography that she would 'never' smoke as it would ruin her voice.
She wrote in 'Miles to go', "I guess my idea of a good party is someone getting their face smashed in cake, not getting smashed. I don't drink & I would never smoke."
Digging her hole a little deeper, she added, "I always say that for me, smoking would be like smashing my guitar and expecting it to play. I'd never do that to my voice, not to mention the rest of my body."
No one likes a hypocrite Miley.

Miley Cyrus has been ranked first in a poll of the worst celebrity influences on teen website Just So You Know... for the second year in a row!
The child star beat tough competition in the form of the recently free from rehab Lindsay Lohan, the currently in rehab Demi Lovato, Kanye West, and Chace Crawford (although we're not sure what he's done) to end up in the #1 slot.
Miley, who we're sure doesn't give a damn, received 58% of JSYK's readers 99,000 votes.
