Lily Allen's mum, Alison Owen, has spoken to Grazia magazine about how she felt about Lily's music career taking off.
The film producer said, "I was extremely proud of what she had achieved, but I felt scared for her, protective of her, jealous other people had a part of her."
She added, "It felt as if she wasn't mine so much any more."
Alison even spoke about that GQ awards incident where she and Elton John, er, fell out.
She said, "I was worried because she had drunk too much and I don't want her to do anything she's going to feel bad about. That night got blown out of proportion, though. She's good friends with Elton, and they both thought it was funny."

Remember a little while ago we told you that Lily Allen had been hit up to write some songs for a Bridget Jones Diary musical?
Well it seems it's definitely happening!
Lily has been speaking about her 'pride' at being asked, and would like everyone to know how amazing she is.
She said, "Everyone thinks it's just one or two songs. But I've now had ten accepted and they look to be making the final cut for the show.
"I'm hugely proud of this and it's something I've worked really bloody hard on. The money would be great but it's being recognised as a songwriter and lyricist that truly excites me."

Lily Allen is rocking a new style of festival chic this summer & it's all about the fashion of yesteryear.
Instead of performing on stage, she's concentrating on launching her new vintage fashion range, called 'Lucy in Disguise'. Allen said that her shop aimed to be "an antidote to the mass consumerism culture of high street shopping'' & will form part of an entire vintage high street at new festival Vintage Goodwood. This August event is the first festival to celebrate the combined glamour of music & fashion, all in a vintage environment. You can also catch the likes of Ronnie Wood, Sandie Shaw, The Puppini Sisters & Princess Julia who'll be performing music from the last five decades of British cool!
The weekend kicks off on 13th August and runs for 3 days of music and vintage decadence, we're already packing our prom dresses...

Lily Allen has fuelled rumours that she may be pregnant this weekend at Glastonbury.
The 'retired' singer wore a figure covering poncho and drank only soft drinks during an event at the festival.
A source at the party said: "Lily's behaviour was just so out of character. Everyone was gossiping that Lily must be pregnant. It was the talk of the party."
Lily declared last month that she wanted to have a baby with boyfriend Sam Cooper "within the year" so it could be a possibility!

We told you before about Lily Allen's new career after 'retiring' from music: her vintage clothing shop, Lucy in Disguise - but it looks like it hasn't started all that well.
First there were the reported arguments with her sister, who is opening the store with her, and now comes the news that the Lily walked out of a market research session because she was annoyed with the feedback!
A source told HolyMoly "She stormed out because she didn't like the criticism people were giving her."

Lily Allen has declared that all music during the 90's was crap.
The retired pop star said, "Well the music was rubbish. Well these are the days of bands like S Club 7 and the Spice Girls."
Lily added, "I mean they are great for what they were but for someone who read a lot of books and engaged in conversation with people quite a lot, I felt if I'm going to be a pop star I want to be a real pop star and I want to say real things."
We'll give her S Club 7, but the Spice Girls? Blasphemy.

Lily Allen might want to rethink her retirement from the music biz after scooping three awards at the Ivor Novello awards yesterday.
The singer won the awards for Best song musically and lyrically, Most performed song for The Fear, and Best songwriter.
Wearing a long Victorian-style dress, Lily cried as she accepted the awards, saying, "Really, truly, from the bottom of my heart, it's the song I'm most proud of."
She added, "This song [The Fear] is so much about feeling lost in a lot of ways. All of a sudden, this has made me feel found".

Lily Allen apparently wants a baby.
The singer (or retired singer) who is dating painter and decorator Sam Cooper, 44 reportedly said she would like to be pregnant within a year.
Lily said on her retirement, "It'll be a minimum of four or five years before I make a record again."
She added, "I know what commitment it takes to release an album. I don't think that mixes well with the idea of settling down and having children, which is ultimately my goal and more of a priority than flying around the world."
