Yay or Nay: Kristen Stewart at the MET Gala 2013

Kristen Stewart has been quiet on the fashion front recently, so when she came back on Monday night at the MET Gala, she ensured it was with a bang. Whether that bang was good or not remains to be decided...

kristen-stewart-met-gala-2013.jpg

Along with Cameron Diaz (who looked stunning in a caped blue gown) the Twilight star had been dressed by Brit designer Stella McCartney, who shared a photo of the pair together on the brands Instagram before hitting the red carpet. Now, this is where things get complicated. At some angles, K-Stews quiffed hair looks great - it makes me appreciate that the actress actually did something different with it. At others it looks too severe, especially with the star going back to her 'no smiling for the paps' policy. To add to the "does she look great or have I gone mad?" confusion, she wore strong eye makeup that looked surprisingly awesome against her pale complexion and green eyes; red eyeshadow is notoriously hard to pull off and usually leaves most people looking like a zombie. How did K-Stew manage it?

Then came the playsuit.

The bordeaux lace number has divided fashion fans, and definitely deserves a place in the man repeller camp thanks to it's exaggerated tailoring at the hips. Whilst I love the colour, the embellishment and even the sleeves, there's something happening in the crotch area that I can't get on board with.

Kristen definitely has the attitude down (even Stella confessed that she thought she had dressed "two of the coolest chicks in town") but did she pull off the playsuit? Have your say in the poll below.

On The Road screening: Kristen Stewart's Erdem dress

As I turned on my computer this morning, I was faced with an image of Kristen Stewart that has yet again forced me to change my opinion on her stylist. The 22-year-old actress joined her On The Road co-stars Kirsten Dunst, Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund for a screening of her latest film in New York yesterday evening, in a dress that I can only describe as ruined.

photoofkristenstewartsheerdress.jpg

Personally, I'm a fan of K-Stew and I've loved some of her most daring style picks this year, but seeing her in this dress reminded me that sometimes, less is so much more. The gorgeous embellished dress by Erdem appeared on the catwalk with a calf length hem, but unfortunately Kristen's stylist felt the need to slash it at the thigh to showcase Kristen's legs (yawn). Given that the front of the dress is completely sheer, it seems a huge step backwards to reveal even more skin; remarkably it even looks a size too small for the Twilight stars tiny frame. I think if the dress had been a little bigger and the skirt had been left alone, this could have really worked for Kristen's current image, but as it is, I couldn't even enjoy the fresh makeup and complimentary colour-popping Louboutins.

Kristen Stewart opts for another daring outfit at the Twilight London Premiere

If you ask me, Kristen Stewart has plenty of gusto. You'd think, following the controversy of her first nearly naked barely there Zuhair Murad outfit earlier this week for the LA premiere of the last in the Twilight saga, she'd opt for something with a small element of substance to it for the London celebrations just a few days later. But no. Gusty Kristen, who we're actually developing a new found respect for on the fashion front, wore an equally daring outfit rivaling the controversial nature of her previous wear. Zuhair Murad once again, but this time in the form of an all in one black lace jumpsuit. What do you think of her look below?

Kristen Stewart Twilight premiere2.jpg

Acompnied by on / off love interest and co-star Robert Pattinson, Kristen turned heads in the jumpsuit, which comes from the designer's couture Fall 2012 collection and features fully sheer top, with precariously placed lace details, fully sheer lace side panels running from the underarm to the ankle, fully embellished trouser section and keyhole cut out back.

What do you make of her look? Will you be working the gothic trend this Autumn / Winter 2012 just like Kristen? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Yay or Nay: Kristen Stewart at the premiere of Breaking Dawn part 2

kristenstewartnakeddress.jpgRemember that moment in the first series of Sex and the City when you see Carrie in "the naked dress" for the first time? That's how I felt this morning after seeing Kristen Stewart at the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn part 2 premiere last night.

Putting the cheating scandal well and truly behind her, K-Stew has significantly upped her fashion game over the last few weeks, ensuring she looks her absolute best during the promotion of her two latest movies, On the Road and Breaking Dawn. At the Nokia Theatre Live in California yesterday evening, the 22-year-old actress was snapped in the arms of Edward Cullen (aka rumoured again boyfriend Robert Pattinson) looking exceptionally high fashion. The leading lady of the Twilight franchise wore a barely there Zuhair Murad dress from the Fall 2012 collection - which was as risqué as it was stunning - teamed with beautiful wavy locks, hot lips and metallic smokey eyes.

It's refreshing to see that despite the amount of pressure she's been under recently, Kristen isn't shying away from this strong, sexy look; although I do think she could have benefited from an extra layer under the skirt, or at the very least, a short slip. What do you think? Is the nude underwear enough? Let us know in the poll below!

If you want to get the look but don't feel quite so confident about baring all, check out our favourite sheer pieces of the moment.

Yay or Nay: Kristen Stewart's playsuit

Kristen Stewart louis.jpg

Kristen Stewart has kick started her tour for the final ever film in the Twilight series, 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2′. Yesterday, Kristen was at a photo call at the Kumamo Shrine in Tokyo to promote the much anticipated movie. For the occasion Kristen wore a monochrome Louis Vuitton Spring / Summer 2013 playsuit.

What do you make of her look? We're still a little undecided on the unusual fashion choice from the awkward actress. Vote and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Kristen Stewart at On The Road premiere, looks mega hot.

The haters / critics / nonbelievers were probably expecting Kristen Stewart's first public appearance since the whole cheating on R-Patz with the director of Snow White debacle to be one of shame. But no. Rather than showing up looking like a shadow of her former self, Kristen turned up the heat with a super hot new improved look. Instead of her usual dishevelled locks and awkward smile, Kristen opted for chic and sophisticated; think super sleek hair, perfectly glowing Autumnal make up and THE most beaut dress we've seen this week, at least. Perhaps K-Stew is trying to win Rob back with the whole "Look at how hot I am, now forget that I cheated on you" thing. The peeps over at Catwalk Queen are even calling it her best outfit yet.

What do you make of Kristen's perfectly preened look? Unfortunately for us mere mortals, the Zuhair Murad dress seen above is a little (try a lot) out of our price range, but if you want to shop the look, check out some of our buys below.

Get the look! Kristen Stewart at the Teen Choice Awards PLUS her statement on cheating on R-Patz

*UPDATE*

Turns out, Kristen Stewart DID cheat on R-Patz! The Twilight actress was caught on camera cheating on Robert Pattinson with a married man twice her age, Rupert Sanders, who she met on set whilst filming Snow White. Check out her official statement below as well as our fashionable get the look from her outfit at the Teen Choice Awards.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," she said in a statement.

It's not every day I see cheating Kirsten Stewart sporting a look I immediately find myself lusting after. Don't get me wrong, she's often spotted in the most amazing designers, put together by the best of the best stylists, but somehow this look just stands out from the others.

At last weekend's ceremony at Universal City in California (before all was revealed about her affair with married man Rupert Sanders), most Hollywood teens sported small party dresses, sparkly numbers and ultra-glam girly outfits, but Kirsten Stewart stood out from the crowd in this casual, well put together and sophisticated yet masculine look. The Twilight actress is actually sporting a gorgeous blue patterned blazer by Roberto Cavalli Resort 2013 so isn't available to us mere mortals now, but we've put together our pick from the high street to help you steal her style.

The minimal make up, messy rockable hair and simply slouched together look works a treat on the usually awkward actress. Want to get her look? Check out our product picks above!

Kristen Stewart vamps it up as Bella Cullen

If you're as excited as we are about Breaking Dawn Part 2, the final instalment of the Twilight Saga, then you've probably already seen the new posters and teaser trailer that was released yesterday (if you haven't then check it out at the end of this post). As awesome as the movie is bound to be, it's Kristen Stewart's transformation from Bella Swan the human to Bella Cullen the vampire that has got us in a twist today; having already seen her kick some ass in Snow White and the Huntsman, we're looking forward to seeing K-Stew become a brooding, and stylish vamp.

Her vamp makeover couldn't come at a better time - both Emma Stone and Katy Perry have been snapped sporting some seriously gothic inspired looks recently, and with so many fairytale adaptations creeping onto the silver screen this year, it seems as though we'll all be taking tips from the dark side. I wonder if Kristen will embrace the gothic look when it comes to the promotional tour...

bellaswanvampire.jpgPU Panel shatter leggings £24 Miss Selfridge, leather biker jacket £165 Oasis, Narcissa lace up boots £70 Office, pave disc ring £5 Accessorize

As the Twilight Saga comes to a dramatic end this November (perfectly timed to work with sultry winter trends) we won't blame you for finding inspiration in Bella Cullen's vampire-ific wardrobe, in fact, we're encouraging it! Whilst Bella's new wardrobe is filled with designer pieces like Belstaff's zip leather blazer, Michael Stars Kasia Jobpur's, and Steven by Steve Madden Isolate Lace Up Boots, we took to the high street to get the look. The key is a lot of skinny fitting pieces, juxtaposing fabrics and leather (we're betting Kristen loved being a vamp). Think comfortable, yet oh-so-stylish.

bellaswanmakeup.jpgYSL Touche Éclat £25, Max Factor flipstick in Gipsy Red £8.49, Illamasqua pure pigment in Incite £15.50, Revlon 'Just Bitten' lipstain £7.99, Shu Uemura lavender bloom eyelashes £22, Bobbi Brown sheer finish powder £23, Koal in Coal eyeliner Topshop £4, MAC studio fix foundation £19.50

As gorgeous as the costumes are, it's the makeup that really stands out - Bella's beauty look could have come straight from an Autumn/Winter catwalk. Getting the skin right is half the battle here; the aim is professional and flawless not washed out Halloween queen. The hair is sleek and glossy with a reddish purple hue, which is reflected in the 'just bitten' wine colour on the lips; they even have a slight shine that matches the stunning metallic eyes, after all, they are sparkling vampires. A little kohl eyeliner, some false lashes and a strong brow complete the look (red contacts optional!).

Kristen Stewart's Style Evolution

If you're a fan of Kristen Stewart (either openly, or secretly) then I've no doubt that you're as excited by her style evolution as much as we are. Ok, so the Twilight star still changes into her trainers in full view of the press/basically as soon as she gets the chance, and yes, sometimes she still gets it hopelessly wrong, but we can't help liking her. How could you not feel an ounce of respect for a girl who admitted to Vanity Fair that she used to wear boys clothes and forgo shaving her legs?!

Over the last few years, Kristen's off duty look might not have changed (it's cool, understated, and perfectly suited to her age) but her red carpet choices (and her stylists) have certainly improved - so much so, that in a somewhat controversial move, Glamour Magazine crowned the 22-year-old best dressed of 2012. Despite rocking some great outfits on her latest promo tour for Snow White and the Huntsman, K-Stew's harshest critics may still need to be convinced that she deserves the title, so we've put together some our favourite moments in Kristen's style journey in a bid to win them over.

KRISTENSTEWARTSTYLE.jpgOk, so it didn't get off to the best start, but surely we can give the girl kudos for daring to wear Chanel? No? Despite the faults (the hair and makeup in particular) the dress is beautiful and although they are a little bridesmaidesque, the shoes aren't hideous. Moving swiftly onwards and upwards, and this second photo of Kristen in 2008 highlights the start of her fashion potential. She looks relaxed, and there's even a hint of a smile - do I thank boyfriend Robert Pattinson, or the Balenciaga dress?

KRISTENSTEWARTREDCARPET.jpg
To the surprise of many, Kristen outshone even the most well dressed celebrities in a silver and gold number by Dolce & Gabanna at the MTV Awards back in 2010. Her love affair with short skirts and minimal accessories certainly pays off here, and although I like that she went for an updo, the ponytail was in dire need of more work. Showing that she could look as elegant as well as sexy, Kristen opted for a floor sweeping Monique Lhuillier dress for the Oscars that same year.

KRISTENSTEWARTFASHION.jpg
Colourful? Check. Embellishment? Check. Never-ending legs on show? Check. First up, Kristen rocks a red Balmain safety pin number for the 2011 MTV awards. Is this the dress that kick started her minidress obsession? Maybe, it is a stunning piece of work, and it certainly ensured K-Stew wouldn't be forgotten. As always, she opted for plain black heels, but I don't mind too much on this occasion. Secondly, that beautiful purple J.Mendel dress with the thigh high split and belted waist - as jaw droppingly beautiful as the boys on her arm? We think so.

KRISTENSTEWART2012.jpg
Smiles all round as Kristen begins to feel more comfortable in front of the paparazzi! The awkward teen has finally turned into a slightly less awkward fashionable goddess. The Twilight heroine looked stunning alongside her boyfriend and co-star in a beaded Roberto Cavalli dress which she teamed with an Alexander McQueen belt. And look, colourful shoes at last! Kristen surprised us again by upping her game for a photo call earlier in the year, sporting a Preen dress and Casadei blade heels.

Buy Bella Swan's wedding dress

Bella Swan replica wedding dress.jpgI'm sure all you diehard fans have seen Bella Swan's wedding dress by now - we told you a while ago that replicas of it would be available to buy and here it is!

Quite nice really isn't it? Designed by Alfred Angelo, the gown retails at just $799, a tiny percentage of the money that the oringinal Carolina Herrera gown that Kristen Stewart wore in the movie must have cost.

The designer has also created a range of vampire prom dresses inspired by the girls in the movie. They're um... quite something. Check them out here.
