Apparently it's not enough that Keira Knightley gives me regular wardrobe envy; the actress has succeeded in making me jealous with her on-set wardrobe too.
Last week the gorgeous 27-year-old was snapped strolling in the sunshine as she filmed her latest movie, 'Can A Song Save Your Life', with Adam Levine in New York City. Keira, who is set to hit cinema screens as Anna Karenia this September, couldn't have looked further away from her 19th century Russian role as she cuddled up next to the Maroon 5 singer in a beautiful blue and cream striped sundress, teamed with a skinny brown belt, chain detail sandals, leather crossover bag, and a simple up-do.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star looked casual but oh-so-stylish in the sleeveless, knee length number, which had been pulled in at the waist to give the waspish actress more shape, as well as breaking up the lines of the dress. Doesn't she look lovely? The whole ensemble has a vintage vibe about it that works so well on Keira.
I'm a big fan of Keira's off duty/on duty look; it's effortless, cool and above all, the perfect way to wear stripes this summer. By all means keep hold of your striped skinny jeans and your Breton striped tops (they aren't going anywhere fast) but experiment with pretty striped dresses too. If you don't have a slight frame like Keira, it doesn't mean you should avoid stripes; in fact, you should embrace them! If you're a curvy lady, try a dress like Keira's that has horizontal stripes across the bust and vertical stripes on the skirt (it'll give the illusion of a small waist and slimmer bottom half) or if you're petite, try verticals all the way down to give the illusion of height. I implore you to find the stripes that work for you - once you've found them you won't turn back! Happy hunting...

Keira Knightley has been reminiscing about the first ever designer dress she bought, all those years ago, even before she starred in Pirates of the Caribbean with fit Orlando Bloom.
"It was a Miu Miu dress", she told Marie Claire. "Do you remember that white Marilyn Monroe dress that billowed up over the subway?"
"It reminded me of that, but in black. It never quite fit - too big on the top."
And then, good old Keirawho never minces words added, "It requires t*** that I don't have, but I still love it. I bought it ten years ago, but it's actually in style now. I love it when it all comes back around."

You might have seen the pictures of Keira Knightley running around in a beautiful purple dress at her brothers wedding last month, but as lovely as she looked, she says she was the worst bridesmaid ever.
She told talk show hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa about the gradual destruction of said dress, explaining, "I don't normally spill things down myself but every single drink went down that dress."
Keira continued, 'Then they had a curry buffet and the curry went all the way down the dress as well, and then I went to the toilet and I got it stuck in the door and it ripped it all the way down the back. So I was the worst bridesmaid in the entire world."
"I'm never going to be asked again," she added.

Well Keira Knightley's moved on from her break up with ex Rupert Friend - she's reportedly already off the market again and going out with James Righton from Klaxons, after apparently bring introduced by Alexa Chung. So showbiz.
A 'friend' of the actress blabbed to press divulged, "She's extremely happy right now and really enjoying spending time with James.
They explained, "Alexa set them up on a date as both of them were single and they hit it off straight away. Alexa's taking all the credit for them getting on so well - she's like Cilla Black when it comes to hooking up her friends."
Wow. High praise.
This friend added, "Keira's really smitten with James but wants to just quietly get on with it and see what happens."
Well we're glad she's happy.

You can't say Keira Knightley isn't dedicated to her profession - to prepare for the play she's currently starring in (with Mad Men star Elizabeth Moss) which is set in a boarding school, the actress went to a school to teach a class of children - and experience she described as 'terrifying'.
Except when asked about having Keira at their school, one of the students said this: "We were not allowed to take photos of her or ask for autographs. Not everyone obeyed the rules but she remained lovely and polite throughout the day."
What kind of school were they at were the pupils talk like that?! That sounds like the least scary school ever. Keira wants to take a trip to Peckham.
Despite the 'scary' students, Keira revealed that she had a great time, saying, "They were so kind. I got them to do a scene from the play - basically I did a drama class. It left me with a great respect for teachers. It gives you an insight into how tired you are after just an hour."
Maybe this could be a possible new career if she ever gets tired of being a movie star?

Keira Knightley covers the March issue of Elle magazine, which is out today, and gave them an exclusive interview about her new movie Never Let Me Go, and her campaign with Tom Ford.
Plus if you've ever tried to find her on twitter and wondered why she doesn't have a twitter account (if you are following her, sorry to break it to you, but it's not her) she told them it's because she is a massive technophobe and can't handle technology. She doesn't even own a TV.
Well actually, she clarifies, "Do you know what it is? It's that I'm the laziest f***er in the entire world. It's true. And stagnation is always really, really imminent. I can literally just sit and not do anything for hours and hours and hours and if there is something completely mind-numbing to do, like surfing the internet or watching crappy TV, I'll do it and then I'll feel s*** about myself. So I try and get rid of it."
What?! No TV? But... but... how does she watch My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding? What does she talk about with her friends? But - Keira adds, "A lot of my friends don't have TVs, either. It might be spreading."
She explains, "But what's nice is that when I do see it, it's such a treat. I did a photoshoot in Cornwall recently and a friend of mine was on the shoot and we literally just sat in my room watching Strictly Come Dancing. We were like, 'This is amazing.' We were talking about that for weeks afterwards."

How sad - after five years together, Keira Knightley has split from her actor boyfriend Rupert Friend.
The couple, who met on set of the 2005 film Pride and Prejudice, apparently mutually decided to split, but Keira is said to be 'devastated'.
Keira's dad Will confirmed the news yesterday, telling reporters, "Yes, they have broken up."
"But that's the way things go, unfortunately. The only option is to get on with things."
He added, "They were together for quite a long time and it is always hard breaking up. She's focused on her work."
Oh dear.

Keira Knightley has revealed how trying to cope with fame 'broke something in her' - where her friend Sienna Miller took is in her stride when paparazzi followed them during the filming of The Edge of Love.
She said, "Sienna was better at coping with it. I think it broke something in me," she explained. "I was told very early on that if I didn't go out to openings and parties and events I would be left alone."
Keira added, "I didn't, and they still didn't leave me alone. I knew it was part of the deal in the life I had signed up to, but the fear of it has never left me. I'm still not good at being recognised. I wear scruffy clothes and hats and keep my head well down. I'm sure people must think I'm a complete b***h, but I'm just very shy."

Sienna Miller has revealed that she envies Keira Knightley's pretentious life.
Sienna said, "She and [boyfriend] Rupert [Friend] live a wonderful life. They read books and discuss topics and cook for their friends. It's the kind of life I aspire to - I don't know if they even watch TV. But don't be fooled and think she is a goody-goody. She can be a bloody good laugh."
Sienna meanwhile, bakes.
She said, "I really do have baking days. I make all sorts of cakes and breads. I love going to the markets really early to find things for my house - it's full of stuff from markets; rugs, tables, chairs, anything I can get my hands on."
