We got another taste of Kate Middleton in a ballgown again this weekend, as her and Prince William attended the star studded Bafta 'Brits to Watch' event in LA.
Kate wore a floor-length lilac chiffon gown by Alexander McQueen to the gala, and swapped her trusty nude L.K Bennett shoes for some Jimmy Choo 'Vamp' glitter sandals.
Obviously half of Hollywood was there to check out the royal couple, and stars including Cat Dealey, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez (who clearly does not know how to dress for royalty - too much Jennifer) and Zooey Deschanel.

You know a couple's been spending too much time together when they start to look the same. We spotted Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck looking remarkably similar as they stepped out en famille in Boston over the weekend.
I hate to say it, but does anyone else think Ben Affleck might be past his peak? I think the dodgy tracksuit and short back and sides might have something to do with it - he was definitely loads better looking in Pearl Harbour. Oh, the perils of fatherhood...

You'd have thought that someone like Jessica Biel should be able to pick up men without having to resort for such desperate measures...
Well not according to her new film, Valentine's Day, which features an all-star ensemble cast, including Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner and Ashton Kutcher (who were snapped snogging on set last week - in a purely professional capacity, of course).
The film, which tells the tale of various couples and singletons around Valentines Day sounds suspiciously like a US version of Richard Curtis' Love Actually. Which probably means we can expect a few decent performances, a patchy script and a schmaltzy ending.
At least we get to stare at Ashton Kutcher for a couple of hours, so it's not all bad.

Na don't be silly, they're just actors innit, and although there's no doubt they'd make a very photogenic couple, Ashton and Jen were just filming a scene for their new film 'The Valentine's Day' (not sure why, but sounds to me like it might be a romance... )
Phew, it's good to know that even in Hollywood somethings are sacred.

Here was Jennifer Garner picking up daughter Violet from nursery on Friday. Violet was wearing a blurry Halloween mask cute sailor dress - how very Suri Cruise of her! - while Jen was sporting a pale blue dress, black top and ballet pumps.
Jennifer was also, it transpires, wearing big safety knickers (as I say, she was dressing for comfort as well as style). Adda girl, Jen - Trinny and Susannah would be proud of you!

Here was Jennifer Garner strutting her baby-growing stuff in Brentwood, California yesterday. She was having lunch with a male friend at Le Pain Quotidien, in case you're curious. Yes, they have them over there, too. As well as over here. And in France (possibly).
As you can see, Jennifer is dressing for comfort during her pregnancy - all jeans and flat shoes and comfy tops - although thinking about it, that doesn't make a huge change from how she always dresses. Victoria Beckham, take note: this is how real LA inhabitants do it...

Jennifer Garner made her first red carpet - well, blue carpet - appearance since announcing her pregnancy last night, at the Pink Party. As in: her first appearance was last night. Not that she made her announcement last night.
But I digress. Because the point here is that she looked gorgeous, in a deep blue satin top, blue jeans and brown peep-toe shoes (revealing bright red painted toenails).

Yes, autumn is well and truly here, folks. The nights are getting shorter, the leaves are getting browner, and the celebrities are starting to wear cardigans.

Here was Jennifer Garner arriving for lunch with the girls at Axe restaurant in Beverly Hills yesterday. Wearing a navy skirt, black flip-flops - and a bright pink top over that growing baby bump of hers.
"We're so excited, obviously... It's all good, it's great," Jennifer told reporters - thus actually confirming her pregnancy. Thank goodness. Because otherwise, I would have just thought she really, really liked dessert.
