Gwen Stefani has been a very busy bee lately! The L.A.M.B designer and mother of two has burst back onto the scene with her old band No Doubt (yay) and has been travelling across the globe promoting the bands Sixth album 'Push and Shove' rocking A LOT of monochrome. Even now, Gwen is still ahead of the fashion curve - black and white is going to be huge next summer!
For a day out in London the singer proved that even when the weather is grey and wet, she knows how to look fashionable, cool and suitably laid back at the same time. Gwen opted for a chequered black and white mac coat - belted at the waist to show off her amazing figure - teamed with a simple pair of black leggings, some burgundy Dr. Martens boots (perfect for getting caught in a down pour) some seriously oversized shade (in black of course) and a slick of trademark lipstick. The superstar even had a tiny checkerboard/houndstooth manicure to match her winter coat; now that's what we call outfit dedication!
Gwen has always had a penchant for the punk aesthetic, and although it tends to be a little more polished these days, it's still a great look for her. Can you believe she'll be celebrating her 43rd birthday next week?!

Seems like Gwen Stefani is spending some time in the UK - she has a house here as well as in LA because of her transatlantic marriage to Gavin Henson - since she's been spotted quite frequently around Primrose Hill.

Gwen Stefani recently did an interview with Elle magazine, and revealed that she think's she is very vain.
The red lipstick aficionado told Garbage's Shirley Manson, "I mean, I'm very vain. That would be my middle name. Of course I am, you know what I mean? I love the visual."
What a great way to put it. I'm not vain, I just love the visual.
But Gwen says, as vain as she is, she can't be as provocative as, for example Rihanna is, because she doesn't see herself as a sex symbol.
"I don't see myself in those girls," she said. "I usually put pants on. I see these girls as more going for the sex-symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy. Of course, I think every girl is sexy, so there's going to be a little of that. But I see a lot of younger artists going more toward the sexy thing."
