We all wondered if having her boyfriend in real life play her fake life boyfriend in Britney Spears video for Criminal was such a good idea - apparently we weren't the only ones: the video's director Chris Marrs Piliero was not happy about it.
"When she first hit me up, she had a basic story in mind, and she actually always originally planned to have Jason, her boyfriend, play the role, and I wasn't super stoked on that idea at first, actually," he revealed.
Chris explained, "And in my mind, I was just thinking then, 'We really should not be using your boyfriend; we should get an actor'. So, I mean, I didn't say that, but in the back of my mind, I'm like, 'I don't like this idea at all'."
It's a good job he humoured her though, because, he says, Jason 'killed it'.
"For me, it was a fun challenge to be like, 'I'm gonna make sure that you are awesome', and he was," he added.

Britney Spears released her music video for latest single Criminal last night - well, it's really more like a film actually.
Britney stars as a girl who abandons her abusive English boyfriend to runaway with a, you guessed it, criminal (played by her real boyfriend in real life Jason Travick), who she meets when he beats up her abusive English boyfriend for punching her. They then embark on a crime spree through London, star in some very racy sex scenes (seriously, I was surprised) and are pursued by some Cockney police.
Most importantly though, Britney actually looks like she's having fun and wants to be there! Maybe they should have her boyfriend in every video from now on (although I could have done without the shower scene TBH). Check it out above!

Britney Spears, as we all know, is filming the music video for her new single Criminal in Merry Olde England - but she's in trouble because she's been running around with a gun - this has angered various government people who say that it is insensitive in light of the riots that happened a few weeks ago.
Councillor Ian Rathbone of Hackney council said, "I think she should apologise and make a sizeable donation to a Hackney charity that deals with young people... for the rudeness and damage she's done to this community."
Really? We would be more inclined to blame the rioting idiots for the "rudeness and damage to the community", but what would we know.
Britney's not going to anyway. Her spokesperson said, "The video is a fantasy story featuring Britney's boyfriend Jason Trawick, which literally plays out the lyrics of a song written three years before the riots ever happened."
So get over it basically.

Britney Spears has revealed the artwork for her new single Criminal (we were kind of hoping for Inside Out, but oh well).
It shows a green-tinted Britney at the forefront, with a mysterious-looking Man Wearing Hood staring towards us. The hood means he's a criminal you know.
What do you think of it?

Britney Spears has revealed on twitter that she will film the video for her upcoming next single Criminal in the UK while she is here on tour next month!
The singer tweeted, "So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks. Can't wait! I LOVE London, it's like my second home.
Britney then added, "Decided to shoot the 'Criminal' video in the streets of merry old England when I get there..."
Amazing. We're totally staking it out.

The pictures from Britney Spears' cover shoot for the October issue of Glamour magazine have been revealed - and she hasn't looked this good for years.
On the cover the singer wears a blue and silver Matthew Williamson dress, and features in the spread in lacy underwear paired with a black fur coat, a sheer black dress with knee high boots (obviously someone at Glamour knows mid-calf boots are not her friend) and all wrapped in a bed sheet.
Good job Glamour, she looks amaze.

Britney Spears is on the cover of Glamour's October issue, and in the accompanying interview revealed that she's planning to invite Kate Middleton and Prince William to one of her UK concerts!
"That would be amazing. That would be really crazy and cool. I think they're a beautiful couple. Unfortunately I didn't get to watch the wedding but I heard it was beautiful," she said.
Britney extended the invite after she was informed by the interviewer that Prince William had once said that she was his ideal woman. Although that was when they were both teenagers - and Brit's about to turn 30 (if you can believe it) which she's surprisingly happy about.
"I think the older you get, the wiser you get", she said. "I can't wait. I'm really excited and definitely gonna celebrate and do something spectacular. I'm gonna be in South America so I'll have to do something pretty fun. A carnival of Britney?"

Despite the reports that surface every now and again that Britney Spears is deeply unhappy to still be under the control of her dad Jamie's conservatorship, the singer has apparently decided that his actions saved her life..
"Britney now recognizes that if her father hadn't stepped in and taken the action that he had, well... Britney is now crediting Jamie for saving her life," a source, possibly a 'close friend' told RadarOnline.com. "Britney is on top of the world right now. She is getting ready for the next leg of her world tour, which will be on September 22 in Moscow. Her father will be with her for some of the European performances, along with her mom."
The source added that Britney was really affected by the tribute to her at the MTV VMAs, plus the lifetime achievement award she won at the week.
"She was extremely emotional backstage before leaving for the VMAs and kept telling her daddy how much she loves him."

Britney Spears did a very funny interview with Popjustice, in which she revealed that in a paralell universe where she wasn't Britney Spears, she would be a teacher.
She said she tries to be normal in every other way (as if that is possible) but career-wise: " I'd probably be a teacher. I love kids and even in what I do now one of my favorite parts of my day is getting to meet my fans before the show. Especially the little ones. They are always so cute."
Britney also revealed during the interview that she has a club INSIDE her house, complete with glitterball, lights and catering.
That is amazing.
