When it's the summer, colour falls into one of three categories: pastels, brights or metallics. I love a candy pink nail polish and an electric blue eyeliner for summer afternoons in the park, but for the beach, it has to be metallics every time. Not only do burnished silvers and golds put you in mind of hazy, hot desserts they are brilliant at catching the lightm going perfectly with sea and sand.
These crayons from Topshop Makeup in Sunshower, Whisper and Mystical are the perfect additions to your holiday makeup bag: creamy, long-lasting sticks of colour which will look beautiful smudged around your eyes during the day, and layered up for nights, plus they're super handy for carrying around in your bag for touch ups. Today saw Dita Von Teese launch her first (self titled) perfume at an event at Liberty in London, and as usual the bombshell showed up looking absolutely sensational despite the far from great weather (a diva never lets a little rain get in the way of her chance to wear a gown).
With a dashing tuxedo-ed man on her arm to shield her from the rain, the burlesque star made her way into the department store looking like the epitome of retro glam.
Looking like sexy, all grown up version of Snow White, Dita's shiny black hair was in its usual, perfectly coiffed state and paired with arched brows, beautifully flicked black eyeliner, fluttery lashes and lips painted a dark burgundy. To make sure her pale skin wasn't overwhelmed by that dramatic make up, Dita added just the right amount of blush to balance it all out.
Dita shirked accessories, making sure she had the only one that matters right now: hot nails. She sported a gorgeous burgundy and silver half moon manicure.

Nails Inc Tate Polish, £11

The second weekend of Coachella starts today and just in time, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, who played there the previous weekend has revealed the secrets to her beauty survival at the trendy festival.
Apparently it was mostly down to keeping up her newest nail phase: "I've recently gone into a lady phase," she said. "So I'm obsessed with having lady nails, and that means keeping a bottle of nail glue in here at all times."
But it's not all that practical: "You can't do anything with these on, so picking up my tour bags is impossible, but they are great for the stage."
And megastar that she is with two massive hit albums, she probably has a make up bag stuffed with designer make up right? Nope. "I also have this $2 lipstick that I picked up at a gas station and has become my new favourite," she revealed.
Katy Perry is the queen of hair chameleons - she's been every colour of the rainbow by now (actually, has she been green yet? I don't think so...) and emerged at Coachella music festival at the weekend with her bright blue hair no more, and in its a place a deep purple!
Katy hinted she had a brand new colour a few days before, tweeting, "Somehow in the middle of all this... I found time to change my hair color... Finally... #takeaguess #foreverawalkingpantonepalette" and then adding "Pretty stoked about my 90's The Craft meets Garbage meets Tank Girl meets early No Doubt meets Ty from Clueless lewk 4 dis wknd #ohmygoth".
What do you think of her new colour?
It's well known that Megan Fox is currently in the process of getting rid of one of her tattoos - the Marilyn Monroe one that's on her lower arm - but it looks like Grazia took offense to another one of her scribbles, because on the image for their cover, they've airbrushed it out!
Megan, who has eight tattoos, has a Nietzsche quote on her back, which reads, "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music" that was removed for the cover. Maybe they did it to emphasize the one on her shoulder blade, that says "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies"? Maybe it's next to go.
Whyever they did it, doing it that way is definitely less painful than the real treatment. Megan previously told Jay Leno of the removal process: "It hurts really bad. It's really painful. Getting them is not that bad, obviously, because I have so many."
She continued, "it sort of exploded and looked like little kernels of popcorn popping up. It's traumatic and it's incredibly painful. They can't numb it enough to make the pain go away."
Yack.
Now she's pregnant, Sienna Miller has been keeping mostly out of the spotlight, but she did emerge to reveal some of her beauty secrets to Elle magazine (and to promote her new film of course, the BBC's The Girl).
So what's in her make up bag? The actress revealed that she loves Givenchy highlighter (£22.50) as well as their Hydra Sparkling Magic Lip & Cheek Balm (£20.50), NARS The Multiple in Palm Beach (£29), Dr Hauschka Blackthorn Body Oil (£17.95).
She also explained that she only has one beauty rule, and she learnt it through her own mistakes. Wear suncreen. "For years I never wore anything. I would lie in for hours full-on in the sun, and now I have extra freckles everywhere, so I do wear sunscreen. It's the only rule I have."
As for her hair, the secret to how she gets that boho, mussed up, just-got-out-of bed look is... that she just got out of bed. "I tend to leave my hair alone and therefore it looks messy," she said.
The beauty market is starting to recieve a flood of products all designed to help us celebrate the queen's Diamond Jubilee: Union jack manicures, nail polish, fake eyelashes, and now Nazila Love Glamour have added to it with a new range of 3d Nail Glitz stick-on nails called Your Royal Highness.
Created especially to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this June, Your Royal Highness is completely blingtastic. In gold, the nails are embellished with opulent crystals in the form of hearts, a cute diamond ring and a crown.
There's also another royal themed set if you aren't feeling that one: Bejewelled, a much more dramatic look in black.
Too cool. They're £29.99 from nazilaloveglamour.com.
We've been really impressed with how Kristen Stewart has grown a lot as a human being since she first came to our attention all those years ago as Bella Swan in Twilight. Just a couple of years ago, the actress would arrive on red carpets with her hair unbrushed, wearing converse and scowling at the cameras - and the less said about that time she had a mullet, the better, to be honest - but look at her now! A couple of years in the spotlight, a few Balmain mini dresses and a Balenciaga contract later and she's a new woman! She even does her hair!
This weekend the Breaking Dawn star attended Nickelodeon's 25th Annual Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles (sans vampire boyfriend Robert Pattinson) looking all pretty again with some great smokey eyes going on. It looks like her artist had used a mixture of dark grey and navy eyeshadows to get that smokey blue shade that complimented her dress. Lashing of black mascara added some drama to her eyes, while a sweeping of pink blush kept it youthful and not too vampy.
Want to get her look? The easiest way is to use eye crayons, which are a cross between eyeshadow and liner - easy to control so you can choose how dramatic you want the eye, and easily smudgable.
We've picked out a couple, plus a black mascara and a pink blush to help you finish the look. Shop them below!

Did you know that Madonna was releasing a perfume? Well she is, conveniently released very close to the launch of her new album MDNA, which we're sure is a total coincidence, and not at all to drum up more money. No.
Anyway, it's called Truth or Dare and as Madonna told WWD, it's been a lifelong dream of hers to have her own scent. "I have always been obsessed by fragrance and for years wanted to create something personal that was an expression of me but that other people could relate to as well," she said. "Something honest, and yet daring, hence the name Truth or Dare."
I haven't smelt it, so I can't judge whether it is truthful and also daring, but I have seen the advert, which doesn't really evoke much to do with the perfume. It does however, contain Madonna in fetish wear, clasping her boobs, all to the tune of her next single, Girl Gone Wild. It's weird. Check it out above.
