Anne Hathaway is on a roll! After it was just confirmed that she will be be appearing on Glee (thanks to months of talking to the press about it and finally cornering the creater Ryan Murphy), it has also been revealed that she'll be playing Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) in the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises.
Christopher Nolan, the director of the franchise said of the choice, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story."
Beating out actresses like Keira Knightley, Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively and Natalie Portman who were all said to be vying for the role (although it's lucky Natalie didn't get it in hindsight), Anne will join former Catwomen Michelle Phiefer and, er... Halle Berry.
We have high hopes she'll be great - do you?

Anne Hathaway has been going on for months, and to anyone that would listen, about how much she wants to be on Glee, and thanks to her perseverance she actually got her wish!
The Devil Wears Prada actress had an entire plotline for her guest spot planned: she previously told Jimmy Fallon, "I would love to be on 'Glee'. Can I make a confession? In my head I've written a part for myself in 'Glee'! It's so arrogant and obnoxious, it's like, 'Ryan Murphy no one else wants to be on your show.'"
"But in my head I've cast myself and I know which song I'd sing. I would want to play Kurt's long-lost aunt, his mother's sister who is also gay, who comes back to help him deal with his sexuality and I would sing 'No One Is Alone' from Stephen Sondheim's epic show 'Into the Woods'."
Anne tracked Ryan Murphy down at the Golden Globes and voila: he told E!, "The thing that's great about Anne Hathaway is that she created her own character and we just ran into her and we said 'Really?' So we're going to do that. We love her."

Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal are still doing promotion for their movie Love and Other Drugs, and they seem to have gotten a bit bored with giving the same answers over and over and over again.
Jake 'revealed', "Annie did the movie because she wanted to be in bed with me. And I can't blame her."
He continued: "I was the 45th actor to be offered a role as no-one wanted to get naked with Anne but I needed the work. I felt sorry for her."
Anne, meanwhile, didn't take it lying down, and hit back with: "The thing is - working with Jake is hard because you have to wait for him to stop Googling himself for anything to be usable."
We love them.

Anne Hathaway has revealed that when she was filming her last film Love and Other Drugs she would obsessively do sit ups prior to her sex scenes.
Well she was doing them with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Anne recounted, "I would go into my trailer and a make-up artist would put body make-up on me and then - girls will relate to this - I would compulsively do sit-ups and push-ups until they needed me on set."
She added, "But then we would do the sex scenes and afterwards we would just be Jake and Annie chilling out. It was very innocent."
Just Jake and Anne hanging out. I wish it were Jake and Steph hanging out. Maybe one day.

Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal are, if you haven't realised, on an aggressive promotional tour for their new movie Love and Other Drugs, and they appear totally naked on the cover of American magazine Entertainment Weekly!
The couple are quite used to being naked now, seeing as they spend lots of time in the film with no clothes on.
We can't wait to see it.

Anne Hathaway has declared that she won't be succumbing to Hollywood's efforts to stay looking young and won't have botox - despite being offered it when she was just 23.
Anne told Elle magazine"I had someone offer me Botox at 23. From the age of 25 to 27 - and this is a little embarrassing to admit - I looked under my eyes every single day, because I thought, 'It's going, it's going, it's going!'"
"And then I realized the other day there not wrinkles; they're smile lines. If you look at pictures of me from a young age, I've been smiling the same way since I was little. And I had that wonderful moment when you realize, 'That's who I am'. Botox would erase that."
As if Anne Hathaway needs botox anyway.

She said: "I'm going to live a bit because I feel my life needs some attention. I'll hang out with friends, read more about physics. I want to learn to cook - I know how to make snacks but not meals."
Anne also talked about what she wants from the future, saying, "I'd like to be a mother. I'd like to travel. I would like to own homes in lots of places, because I have the gypsy wanderlust within me. All actors have it, we don't like to stay in one place too long."
