Angelina Jolie has told how she refused the role of a Bond Girl because she wanted to be Bond instead.
The actress was offered the role of Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, but she turned it down, claiming that she told casting agents: "No, thank you, but I'd like to be Bond."
The role of Vesper eventually went to Eva Green, but Angelina got her Bond role in the end.
Well sort of. Jolie added that when Salt came up, the producer rang her up and said: "Maybe we've found your Bond."

Angelina Jolie rocked up to Russia at the weekend for the premiere of new movie Salt, and looked amazing.
Like, properly amazing.
The actress took to the red carpet in a red Atelier Versace chiffon gown which was perfectly draped around her body, with a train that blew around in the wind.
The fact that we're so used to seeing Angelina in black makes it even more of a great look!

We reported a while ago that Angelina Jolie was in talks to play Cleopatra in a new movie, and now the actress has declared that she would be 'honoured' to get the role.
But Angelina said, "we haven't gotten the script yet."
Publisher of the historical biography Queen of the Nile, which the film will be based on told press, "Angelina Jolie radiates grace and power, exactly the qualities that [author] Stacy Schiff finds in her biography of the most intriguing ruler who ever lived."
But apparently rumours that Angelina was lined up to play Elizabeth Taylor in a movie of her life are false. The actress said, "I have never heard that before. I don't think that anybody could be Elizabeth Taylor better than Elizabeth Taylor."
And Elizabeth agreed, tweeting, "No one is going to play Elizabeth Taylor, but Elizabeth Taylor herself."

Still doing her Salt promotion, Angelina Jolie spoke about her kids - and although they have megastars as parents, it sounds like they are far from spoilt.
Plus they can't do that whole divide and conquer thing where you go to one parent telling them that the other said you could do/have something... remember that?
The actress said that her and Brad Pitt present a solid front and refuse to soften in their decisions.
Angelina explained, "Brad's an extraordinary father. We have each other's backs."
She added, "The [kids] can't go behind one [parent] to the other. Not one of us is softer than the other."

Angelina Jolie has said that she is looking forward to her future with Brad Pitt and their gang children, and wants to have a long life so she can see them grow up.
The actress said, "I lost my mother not so long ago and there is something about the years passing where you really appreciate life more each day. The amazing part is you have a history with the people you love. And it becomes important for you to stay healthy and age gracefully.
Angelina added, "I want to see my grandkids. I want to see my children grown and spend the years with Brad. I want everything."

The actress wore a glittering black Emporio Armani strapless mini dress with a beautiful draped skirt.
Angelina paired her dress with nude Ferragamo peep toe heels and an Asprey bracelet for a simple but striking look.

Angelina Jolie has said that her and Brad Pitt will get married - if their children want them to.
The actress, who has been married twice before, said that they have no plans to tie the knot as of yet, but would find it hard to protest if their kids asked them to.
Angelina said, "I think it would be hard to say no to the kids. They're not asking. They are very aware nothing's missing."
The 35-year-old also admitted that the pair, who already have six children, would not rule out having more.
She said, "There are no plans at the moment for more. But we always talk about it. We're always open. You know?"

Angelina Jolie has declared that Brad Pitt is the love of her life.
The actress has been doing many an interview lately to promote her new movie Salt, and of course, there's more on Brad then there is on the film.
She said, "Will we grow old together? Of course. We wouldn't have six children if we weren't absolutely sure of that."
Jolie was asked whether or not she believes in one true love, to which she replied: "He makes me feel like there is."
(We bet Jennifer Aniston thought that too)
And despite having 6 kids and being exhausted, they still want more. Angelina said, "We always have this thing, first thing in the morning, where we're really, really tired, and we look at each other and we wonder, 'Are we ever going to get sleep?' And yet we still love the idea of having more children."

It's no secret that Angelina Jolie has had a somewhat dark past, and the actress has opened up to Parade magazine about her extreme behaviour in the past.
Angelina revealed that she used to self harm because she felt caged, explaining, "I used to cut myself or jump out of airplanes, trying to find something new to push up against because sometimes everything else felt too easy."
"I was searching for something deeper, something more. I tried everything. I always felt caged, closed in, like I was punching at things that weren't there. I always had too much energy for the room I was in."
Angelina added, "It might partly explain why I ended up tattooed or doing certain extreme things in my life."

Angelina Jolie has revealed ther her kids are confused about her career, and often think her films are real life!
The actress spoke about when she was filming scenes for upcoming movie Salt, and said, "Pax got upset because someone was trying to hurt his mum. He saw my feet wrapped and he got mad. But then I explained to him that I'm fine."
"They're very confused, to be honest. I think they don't quite know what to think. Even the change of hair colour is confusing for them."
Angelina also said that Brad Pitt was thrilled about her getting this role, because it meant they could train together: "We met doing this style of film. He knows that in some way the action of it is fun for me. We have fun together doing kind of physical things, whether it's my training for this or motorcycle practice... it was fun."
