It's the couture, it's Chanel and it's Alexa Chung so that means... er, goofing about in front of the cameras?
Alexa was spotting trying to impress her new BFF, teen blogger Tavi, with her nerdy face-pulling. Clearly unable to rid herself completely of her inner nerd, the fashionable Brit teamed her LCD (Little Chanel Dress) with grey schoolgirl tights and this season's unlikely fashion hit, a pair of impossibly high-heeled clogs. Of course these aren't just any old clogs, these are Chanel clogs, so that makes them entirely acceptable. Honest.

Latest news on the celebrity-designer front is that Alexa Chung has been signed up to design for Madewell, the brand owned by J. Crew. The popular US label is a favourite of Alexa's and she was their top choice as guest designer, 'Alexa is totally cool. It's not the way she looks or dresses. It's the way she is', says Millard Drexler, Chairman of J.Crew Group.
As well as designing tea dresses, high waisted skinny jeans and bomber jackets, Alexa has had input in other areas - her own sketches will also appear in the look books.
Blimey, are there any actors/singers/models left not designing clothes collections?

Fashionista of the moment, Alexa Chung has inspired not just one bag but a whole family of them for Brit brand, Mulberry. The new Alexa bag is a slouchy twist on the uber-successful Bayswater bag and comes in a range of sizes and colours.
The waiting list is already overflowing (the line launches on 11th January) with the smallest size the most popular option so far. Which one does Alexa have? Well, lucky Alexa has the oversized one in oak but has also commissioned an extra special money-can't-buy black patent one according to Grazia Daily.

Gutted though we were at the ending of her MTV show, we're pleased to see Alexa Chung going back to the modelling day job.
Her latest shoot from the ss10 campaign for Pepe Jeans shows her at her fashionably dishevelled best in worn-in denim jackets and cut-off shorts (well, why would you cover up those endless legs?).

Alexa Chung was doing her bit for the kids in New York this weekend - by hosting the Louis Vuitton and Teen Vogue Holiday Celebrations. Not sure how many teen Vogue readers can afford Louis Vuitton, but that's probably not the point.
Meeting some of her adoring fans, and brandishing - yep a rather large Louis Vuitton bag, Alexa was just explaining to these impressionable young ladies that if they want to be able to afford pretty clothes and $4000 accessories when they're older, all they have to do is land a couple of TV presenting gigs, go out with a the lead singer of a rock band and bag a few magazine covers. Simples.
That said, with reports claiming that Alexa's MTV show It's On With Alexa Chung is about to be canned, maybe the bag's just on loan...

It may be icy in New York mid-December, but that isn't going to stop London girl Alexa Chung from flashing a bit of leg in a cute plaid pinny and ankle socks.
Alexa's personal take on girlie-preppie has become her signature style in a city full of high-gloss actresses and singers, and we love her all the more for it.
We also love that she's managed to turn her favourite tan satchel into her statement piece. She's been lugging it around everywhere with her, and its quirky vintage look fits in perfectly with her style.

Alexa Chung abandoned her usual pinafore and brogues combo and went dead classy for the Vogue Fashion Fund Award in New York this week.
If you're going to wear a full on fur coat, there's always the danger you could come across all Melanie Griffith in Working Girl. Or even worse, Pat Butcher, the Frank years. However, by resisting the urge to team her (fake?) fur coat with any sort of bling, and keeping everything else relatively simple, Alexa looks modern and fresh.
Tights might have been a good idea, however. Blue knees aren't a good look on either side of the Atlantic.

Alexa Chung, we've missed you! Miss Chung's not been around much of late, and the fashion world's been bereft without her maverick approach to fashion to take inspiration from.
This is a great example of how to do the preppy look a) if you're bored of brogues or b) if you're worried you'll look too much like a boy. The blouse and bow combo are super cute, and we love, love, love the shoes.
She looses minor style points for having the pocket of her slightly-too-distressed denim shorts sticking out, but we think we can forgive that minor infraction when the rest of the outfit is just so darn adorable.

With boyfriend Alex Turner on tour with the rest of the Arctic Monkeys, it was down to Alexa Chung to play gooseberry in London the other night, as she went for dinner in Soho's Quo Vadis with Lily and Alfie Allen, Jaime Winstone and Sam Cooper.
Covered up in a chunky knit cardigan, Alexa looked marginally less skinny than late (even commenting on her Twitter status earlier in the week 'now eating pasta cos everyone keeps telling me i'm wasting away..def not a good look :(').
Not sure if couple's night panned out quite the way Alexa had hoped. Not only did she have to play gooseberry to the Allen siblings and their other halves, but the evening ended with Jaime Winstone getting arrested for drink driving (see below). We bet Alexa can't wait to hot-foot it back to the Big Apple.

A Burberry collection wouldn't be complete without the trademark mac and the spring/summer 10 collection made no exception to the rules in that department.
The rest of the collection consisted of lots of beautifully delicate looking pastel dresses and draped, twisted skirts in nude colours, toughened up with a utilitarian waist belt.
Textures clearly played a huge part in the collection with a couple of gorgeous fur (we hope they weren't real) coats and metallic dresses and tops that looked like crystals as they sparkled under the lights.
As usual, the show was awash with celebrities with everyone from Emma Watson, Liv Tyler and Gwyneth Paltrow to Victoria Beckham, Mary-Kate Olsen Alexa Chung making an appearance
