Jennifer Lawrence loves British style (and men!)

Back in April, the gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence revealed to Glamour magazine that she loves British style, and I have to admit, I felt a swell of pride. The 21-year-old actress, who burst into the Hollywood spotlight as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, admitted that she loves high street favourite Topshop, as well as Portobello Road and Selfridges - although she admitted that she always gets Selfridges and Waitrose mixed up, which "has led to a few disappointing shopping trips..." Jennifer explained, "I like the relaxed way British girls dress", and revealed that she think she dresses like one too!

As well as having a soft spot for British fashion, Jennifer also touched on why she loves our guys. "British men have these wonderful manners, and everything they say is funnier just because of the accent. There's this cute "I'm trying to be adorable because I know you're mad at me" accent, and then the drunk accent where all the consonants have vanished." We wonder if her Brit boyfriend and X Men co-star Nicholas Hoult has been treating her to a pint or two?

As well as confessing her love of Topshop and Selfridges, Jennifer has been snapped in numerous British designers, from Marchesa to Victoria Beckham.

Despite her whirlwind fame, she's still dubious about buying expensive clothes
If all of a sudden you had a rather large Hollywood pay check, would you rush out immediately and splurge, or feel a little nervous about dropping thousands of pounds on clothes? I think the majority of us would feel hesitant, especially at 21. In her interview with Glamour, Jennifer recalled an incident when she couldn't bring herself to spend £300 on a skirt, "Of course I could afford it because I still live in my two-bedroom condo and drive a station wagon, but it's the principle of the thing. I mean, it's just fabric looped around and sewed together!"

Hair and makeup
Messy up do? Check. Flyaway fringe? Check. Lashings of eyeliner? Check. Are we sure this girl isn't secretly British?

She has a relaxed approach to her everyday wardrobe
Jennifer isn't afraid of being snapped in the street, whether she's in her gym gear without a stitch of make up, or buying groceries in a simple t-shirt and jeans.

Although we've yet to see her in a ridiculously outlandish number, Jennifer definitely takes a ballsy British attitude when it comes to her red carpet wardrobe. Her style is young, fresh, and experimental - all key words in the British fashion vocabulary!
