Get the Look: Rita Ora

So far it's been a whirlwind year for British singer Rita Ora, and we're only half way through! Having already caught the attention of Hip Hop royalty, Jay-Z (she's signed to his record label) Rita is making waves over in the US and right here on her own turf, with a string of performances lined up for the rest of 2012 including opening stadiums Coldplay. With her unique looks, enviable figure, and daring sense of style, it's not just her catchy music that has everyone talking - Rita has a bang-on-trend wardrobe that rivals the likes of Jessie J, and dare we say it, the attitude to make it work.

This weekend, Britain's answer to Rihanna attended Capital Radio's Summertime Ball in an outfit befitting of her own style idol, Gwen Stefani. The young star rocked an amazing pair of Tatty Devine eyelash sunnies (that I've been lusting after for quite a while!) a pile of gold necklaces (her signature accessories) and her beloved Air Jordans, which she rocked with a retro inspired Happy Ashley dress.

I think the thing I love most about Rita is that she isn't afraid to mix it up when it comes to her fashion choices. She likes bold prints, mixed metals, and she doesn't care if what she's wearing is vintage, designer...or even a piece from a recent fashion graduates collection! The beautiful kitch printed dress worn by Rita was seen on the runway at the University of Westminster just two weeks ago during the Fashion Design BA degree show. Talk about having your finger on the pulse!

The show, in which Pixie Geldof and Chanel model, Alice Dellal both walked, attracted a number of high profile guests, and we're guessing that designer Ashley Williams couldn't be happier with having caught Rita's eye. The singer was obviously a big fan of the graduates retro dessert print, as she sported yet another piece from the Happy Ashley collection on stage. Is it too early to predict a fashion and music match made in heaven?
