Angelina Jolie shows a softer side for Marie Claire US

Angelina Jolie has popped up on the cover of Marie Claire US - and we're loving her flawless, girl-next-door look.

Angelina was photographed for the January issue by Alexei Hay who also shot one of our favourite editorials of the year, Michelle Williams for Elle, along with Victoria's Secret models Miranda Kerr, Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes and Adriana Lima on the beach for Elle US earlier this year.

We think Alexei has definitely caught a softer side to the actress, with her trademark lips dominating the cover.

Inside she talks Brad, not having many friends, wanting to move away from acting and her In The Land of Blood and Honey directorial debut which hits American cinemas next week. See the trailer below.
