David LaChapelle sues Rihanna for S&M video

rihanna_david_lachapelle_sm.jpgPoor Rihanna's having such bad luck with her new single S&M isn't she - first it gets banned in 11 countries, then it gets renamed and censored, and now she's being sued for plagerism!

Photographer David LaChapelle is suing Rihanna because he alledges that some of the shots from her video are "directly derived" from his own work.

His suit claims that "the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works."

He adds that Rihanna 'stole' eight images for the video, which copied the "composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting of his work."

So what do you think? The shots he says are copied are left (click to make it bigger) - he has a pretty good case don't you think?
