Oscars Red Carpet 2011: Cate Blanchett

cate_blanchett_oscars_2011.jpgCate Blanchett divided opinion on twitter when she appeared on the red carpet at the Oscars earlier tonight.

The actress wore a pale pink Givenchy couture gown with an open cut bodice, which was covered in hundreds of tiny pink and yellow beads.

It also featured what I can only describe as a pleated chest porthole window on the bodice.

Some people hated it, and others (like us) thought it was a great choice that broke up some of the frankly boring and monotonous nude dresses nicely! Plus, look her her - she looks awesome.

In fact, the more we saw it, the more we liked it - and now it's one of our favourites. At least she took a risk, right? But what do you think?

Dislike. But who cares anyway? It's CATE BLANCHETTE! She's amazing regardless of what she wears.
