Miley Cyrus is a smoking hypocrite

miley_cyrus_american_music_awards.jpgIn a new attempt to be taken seriously as an edgy and grown up singer, Miley Cyrus has taken up smoking.

She was 'caught' by paparazzi with a cigarette while driving around after getting a new tattoo (she's edgy remember). This wouldn't be news as such, if she hadn't written in her autobiography that she would 'never' smoke as it would ruin her voice.

She wrote in 'Miles to go', "I guess my idea of a good party is someone getting their face smashed in cake, not getting smashed. I don't drink & I would never smoke."

Digging her hole a little deeper, she added, "I always say that for me, smoking would be like smashing my guitar and expecting it to play. I'd never do that to my voice, not to mention the rest of my body."

No one likes a hypocrite Miley.

Miley Cyrus wrote "Miles to Go" when she was 15-years old, more than three years ago. Have adult Americans forgotten how much a teen changes in those three crucial years? I feel sorry for the kids these days because all they hear is "just say no," to sex, to drugs, and to every thing else they are tempted with constantly in their lives. "Just say no" is the most idiotic harmful phrase ever invented for kids, and all those pushing it should be ashamed of themselves. We need to start telling kids, 15- or 18-years old, that they are probably going to run into times when they suffer from depression and they need to learn scientific ways of coping with it, including seeking psychiatric help if necessary. We need to tell kids that nicotine is a strong anti-depressant and they are probably going to seek it out--even unconsciously--if they suffer from depression and don't get professional help for it. They don't even know why they are smoking, and the idiot-educators in this country don't tell them the truth about it, they only say, "just say no." Miley Cyrus has just had a year that would have pushed any normal person into depression and it should be obvious to all why she's smoking. She's obviously ashamed of it too, because she's a closet smoker. We need to bring this stuff out in the open and stop blaming the victims and start helping them to find solutions that don't cause cancer. And, we need to stop being hypocrites.

Yea, Hannah I agree with you! MILLIONS of people smoke. She's a good person! Everybody probably will try something different in their lives... Everybody should just back off and give her a break. She's just trying to break free of her "Hannah Montana" image and be herself. Don't critisize her for being young and trying new things...

Miley cyrus is a good person, can't everyone just back off?! Millions of people smoke, but just because she's in the limelight people ridicule her for it, its not fair and its not right. Yeah we looked up to her as a role model and some people now say they cant. I can, do, and forever will! She's just a person, everyone makes mistakes. Why dont people think about how they live their life, before critising others?
