Britney Spears earnt A LOT from product placement in Hold It Against Me video
Did you watch Britney Spears's music video for new single Hold It Against Me?
If you did you can't have missed the flagrant product placement throughout the four minute, 29 second-long film. If you didn't finish watching it with a burning desire to go to the Sony store and buy a TV, you're superhuman.
Or Britney's new Radiance perfume.
Or Makeup Forever Make Up.
Or Plenty of Fish dot com.
Anyway all of that paid off, because apparently Britney (or her record label anyway) made $500,000 by letting PlentyofFish.com advertise in it! Wow.
This hasn't pleased Katy Perry though - she thinks it's tacky. Wonder if she's seen Avril Lavigne's video yet...?
So what do you think of product placement in videos? Annoying and distracting, or necessary?
