Uh oh... Burlesque nominated for 6 Razzies

christina_aguilera_burlesque_screenshot.jpgAnd just when Christina Aguilera thought she was making some career progress, her first movie Burlesque makes the Razzies nomination ballots for six categories, including one for Worst Lead Actresss ie her.

The movie has been nominated for worst actress (Christina Aguilera), worst supporting actress (Kristen Bell and Cher), worst supporting actor (Cam Gigandet), worst screenplay, and worst director.

That's pretty bad.

On the bright side, it wasn't nominated for Worst Movie (though we question that decision).

The official Razzie Award nominations will be announced January 24.

I liked Burlesque. It was a fun movie about beautiful people who just want to dance and sing their heart out and that they did very well. The critics wanted another supremely bad Showgirls so bad they couldn't see straight and couldn't had their dissapointment when the movie turned out to be pretty good. They (the movie critics) have been biased about this movie from the beginning, but all the audience polls indicate that movie goers really enjoyed Burlesque.

I think you completly misread the article. The Razzie Nominations are not out there yet.

Burlesque was mentioned among dozens of options that are sent to the Razzie Comitté, where they vote for the finalists who are nominated. This just means Burlesque's maximum ammount of nominations will be 6.

Everyone's so eager to hate on her and her material that they can't even read things properly.
