High School Musical dream team Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have split up!

The actors, who met on the set of the movie, have been together for five years - they're the Britney and Justin of the Disney generation!

But why the break up?

"It's nothing dramatic," one source said. "There's no third party involved."

Another source added, "They were together for so long. It just ran its course."
