Jessica Simpson talks engagement

jessica-simpson-shoesshort.jpgJessica Simpson has been speaking about her recent engagement saying that she was completely surprised and didn't at all see it coming and it was just a TOTAL coincidence that it happened five minutes after her ex-husband Nick Lachey got engaged.

"I had to sit on his knee [because] I was shocked," she said.

Jessica continued: "I first said 'Yes'... I didn't even try the ring on until five minutes in. I just sat there and cried with him."

She went on to sing fiancé Eric Johnson's praises, saying, "He is just really thoughtful. Keeps me very centred. He makes me feel like my feet are on the ground."
