Halle Berry stars on September Vogue cover
Halle Berry's Oscar win was the first for a black woman, and the actress makes another record as she graces the cover of Vogue's September issue - the first time a black woman has done so in history.
Halle had decided to take some time out of the spotlight after her split with Gabriel Aubrey, the father of her 2-year old daughter Nahla, but made an exception for Vogue.
She explained, "I was burned-out with having other people tell the story about me that they wanted to tell. I told my publicist, 'I'm not going to talk any more. I'm just going to live my life and be who I am'."
Halle added about her cover, "What that means for a woman of colour and what that means in the fashion world, what that means to pop culture, there was no way I could say, 'No I'm not going to be on the biggest issue of the year.'"
