Emma Watson wants to be The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

We've told you before about the fight over what seems like the most sought after role in Hollywood right now, the film adaption of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and we have an update - Emma Watson has reportedly joined the fray!

A source even claimed that one of the reasons that the actress cut her hair was to help her land the role as computer hacker Lisbeth Salander.

They said, "Emma has auditioned with director David Fincher and cut her hair to look the part. The character of Lisbeth is a misfit goth-type girl with spikey hair."

Whoever gets the role will be contracted to three films so it's understandable that it would be highly desired!

If this is true, Emma has a lot of competition - namely Kristen Stewart, Carey Mulligan, Ellen Page, Mia Wasikowska, Keira Knightley, Olivia Thirlby, Scarlett Johannson, Anne Hathaway and Natalie Portman.
