Angelina Jolie: Marilyn Monroe (or not)

angelina_jolie_salt_tokyo.jpgYesterday a rumour swept the internet (courtesy of the Daily Mail) that Angelina Jolie had been cast to portray Marilyn Monroe in a movie of her life.

The actress was apparently starring in an adaptation of Andrew O'Hagan's The Life And Opinions Of Maf The Dog, And Of His Friend Marilyn Monroe.

But yesterday at the London premiere for her new movie Salt, Angelina denied knowing anything about her new role!

Angelina said, "It's really funny because I have just heard about this for the first time today. It's news to me. I'm flattered I suppose."

Thank god, because that casting would have been totally off the mark!
