Not Another One: Katy Perry is launching a perfume.
It would be nice for celebrities to stop thinking that just because they have a sense of smell, it doesn't mean they have to have a perfume - but no, now Katy Perry has anounced that she is releasing one.
As if Bruce Willis releasing a fragrance wasn't enough to prove that it's all become a bit much.
Katy's will be called Purr, which is quite a suitable name for her we have to admit, and will come in a cat-shaped bottle with jeweled eyes, metallic accents and lavender shading.
The singer apparently realises that we're inundated with celebrity perfume, because she insisted, "There are amazing fragrances backed by other celebrities, but what I'm bringing is not like any other. It wasn't just like, 'I love gardenias.' That would have been the easy route. I really wanted to develop a scent that was completely unlike anything I'd smelled before and not one that smelled like a knockoff of another scent. I'd never want to do anything 'just because'."
Purr will apparently have top notes of peach nectar, forbidden apple and green bamboo; a heart of jasmine blossom, pink freesia and Bulgarian rose, and a drydown of vanilla orchid, white amber, creamy sandalwood and musk.
