Jennifer Lopez gets a new job

Jennifer Lopez has been announced as the newest judge on the American Idol judging table.

The Latino singer's music career has been on hold lately since she was dropped from her record label, Sony, and her last film, erm... was... was... anyway.

Jen's been lined up to replace Ellen Degeneres on the panel, who has left the show after just one season.

She will join Randy Jackson on the table, and possibly Steven Tyler, who is rumoured to be replacing Simon Cowell.
