Nicole Richie on Cheryl Cole and clothes

Nicole Richie was present when Cheryl Cole won the Woman of the Year at the Glamour awards this week, but it turns out she wasn't as familar as we are about why. In fact, despite Will.i.am's best efforts she's never heard of her!

"I had no idea who that Cheryl girl was," she said, "I heard her accent and thought she must be Irish. She's not big in the US."

At a My-Wardrobe dinner celebrating Nicole's new Winter Kate collection, Nicole talked about making an effort to dress well.

She said, "I'm all for what's comfortable but I don't think people today make enough effort with what they wear. At the same time I don't want to have to get out of bed early to decide what to put on."

And if you ever wondered why Nicole dyed her hair dark, we have the answer - it's because of how big her boobs got after she had her second child Sparrow: "I was blonde with this big chest and I thought 'no this is not my look."
