We've been trying to work out whether the event Kylie Minogue attended yesterday in this policewoman-esque outfit was a costume party or not...

Kylie attended the amfAR New York Inspiration Gala, at The New York Public Library in this racy outfit by Jean Paul Gaultier.

The theme of the evening was Black tie/Black leather which the singer kept to in a asymetric dress with a deep slit (showing off her suspenders) with a leather sleeve ending in a glove and handcuff detailing.

It's hard to believe she's 42, isn't it?
