Ashley Cole has a new girlfriend

Well it seems like Ashley Cole is officially over his soon to be ex-wife Cheryl.

Reports at the weekend in the News of the World claimed that the footballer had started dating a former lapdancer who he met at a London club five weeks ago.

As usual, these claims should be taken with a handful of salt.

But it looks like it could be true: the girl in question, 23-year-old Sarah Purnell, who is a mother of one, commented, "It's true. But it's early days."
