Naomi Watts to play Marilyn Monroe?

Naomi Watts is reportedly in the frame to star as Marilyn Monroe in a biopic of her life.

The movie about the life of the actress, singer and sex symbol will be written by Andrew Dominik; the writer of the massive 2007 biopic The Assasination Of Jesse James By The Cowarrd Robert Ford.

The film will be based on the book Blonde and will trace her life from its humble beginnings as Norma Jeane Baker to the creation of iconic Marilyn.

Dominik said: "I want to tell the story of Norma Jeane as a central figure in a fairytale, an orphan child lost in the woods of Hollywood, being consumed by that great icon."

Filming will begun in January - we can't wait to see it!
