Cheryl Cole gets £250,000 for 30-minute gig

Cheryl Cole has reportedly been paid £250,000 to do a gig lasting half an hour at Cannes.

Good work if you can get it!

The singer attended a dinner party hosted by jewellery firm de Grisogono, looking stunning in a Roberto Cavalli gown (left), and was apparently hired to perform at the event, which Naomi Campbell and Margerita Missoni attended.

Cheryl reportedly said, 'Hello Cannes, thanks for making me feel so welcome,' before singing Fight For This Love, 3 Words, Parachute and a new track, Stand Up.

She was also rumoured to be given free jewellery for her trouble. It's a hard life for some.
