Hilary Duff shows off her engagement ring

Hilary Duff has spoken about how weird it was to have the paparazzi catching her fiancee Mike Comrie proposing to her, saying it "was awful".

"We had no idea they were there, it was weird," the actress (and author) said. "I hated that I was taking a picture of my ring and sending it to my mom!"

Please, if someone gave us a diamond that big we wouldn't just be sending pictures to our mum. We would dedicate an entire album to it on Facebook.

On the actual wedding Hilary says, "We want to keep it small. [Mike]'s like, 'whatever you want!'"

    You really have to give it up to the paparazzi who got the photos of the proposal. I mean, to have been in the right place at the right time in the big cosmic scheme of things is pretty amazing. I mean the only guy who knew it was gonna happen was Mike…I wonder who the photographer was? That is a story in itself…
