Carey Mulligan gets 'teary' on the red carpet

Not winning an Oscar hasn't stopped anyone from enjoying themselves at the various after parties before, and Carey Mulligan was no exception, although she says she's not really a "party girl".

But that doesn't mean one of our most famous British exports hasn't been making the effort to enjoy herself. Carey admitted, "It's all too much fun not to enjoy it so we have been partying a little bit through awards season."

The British star of An Education has been thrust onto many a red carpet in the last few weeks, and says, "I find it quite difficult. I'm not very good at getting my picture taken, so I get quite teary when the flashbulbs are going off."

"I feel a little bit uncomfortable. I'll get used to it more with my next movie coming out, but I don't really like that side of things."
