The Brits: Awards, fashion and flying microphones
Last night was an event filled night at the 30th Brit Awards.
Hosted by comedian Peter Kay, the show was opened by Lily Allen descending onto the stage via a giant bomb.
There were performances from Lady Gaga, and emotional Robbie Williams who picked up the Brit Award for Lifetime achievement, a brilliant mash up of 'You've got The Love' and 'Dirty Cash' from Florence and the Machine and Dizzee Rascal, a performance of 'Beat Again' from JLS (who incidentally also won British Single and British Breakthrough Act), who were dropped from the ceiling on wires.
The most anticipated performance was from Cheryl Cole (sans wedding ring) who delivered her number looking visibly angry but determined.
As always, scandal made an appearance during the night, and unsurprisingly it came from a member of Oasis. Liam Gallagher took to the stage to receive the award for Best Album of 30 years in with his typical swagger and thanked everyone but his brother Noel, his estranged brother and other half of Oasis.
He then topped off a small rant by throwing his award and his microphone into the crowd, which prompted a search during the add break because they next performers needed the microphone.
