Penelope Cruz... the Pirate?

penelopecruz-cannes.jpgSpanish actress Penelope Cruz is rumoured to be in talks to star in the next part of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, which is set for a May 2011 release.

Jack Sparrow fans are waiting impatiently for the release of his next sea-faring adventure now that Johnny Depp has confirmed his involvement in the fourth film. The plot of the movie, subtitled 'On Stranger Tides', is being kept a strict secret (for now) but will center around the Fountain of Youth.

Disappointingly Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will not be grabbing their scabbards and donning boots for the next instalment, but we think Penelope will be an excellent addition - she'd make an amazing Pirate villianess.

    Keira's Elizabeth is the best female character ...rob marshall and his stupid obsesion with Penelope..! Isn't fair for fans of the movie!
