Lady Starlight: the reason behind Lady Gaga's crazy

So this is who's to blame!

Go-go dancer and New York DJ Lady Starlight has explained that she inspired the trouser-allergic, temperature-immune marvel that is Lady Gaga.

She said. "It's crazy knowing that the biggest star in the world was inspired by me. But I was the one who told her to take her trousers off because I rarely wore any myself."

Together they formed an act named 'Lady Gaga and the Starlight Review' where they wore bikini tops and sequinned knickers, lighting hairspray from cans to shower the audience with sparks.

Lady Starlight, who says she sees herself as Gaga's mentor, reminisced, "The outfits were quite often stuck together with glue. Sometimes they held up and sometimes they fell apart on stage. We always wanted the flashiest garments possible... and to be as naked as possible."

So, apparently the secret of success is to be as naked as possible at all times.

What a pity it hasn't worked as well for Jodie March.
